In 1992, as luck would have it, a civil engineer named Dave Zimmerman encountered THE FARMING GAME. Dave's business is to provide earthwork estimates to construction contractors. He had also been working on a gaming model to describe the free-wheeling earthwork construction business when he stumbled across THE FARMING GAME. He was so impressed with the business gaming model contained within THE FARMING GAME, he contacted the inventor, George Rohrbacher, and asked George, if through a licensing agreement, that he might be able to adapt THE FARMING GAME to the construction business. After some wrangling, the two struck a deal and in 1993 THE CONSTRUCTION GAME hit the shop. Praises for the fresh mini game came in from all over the globe and the mini game orders swamped Dave's engineering office that first Christmas. Dave was soon forced to select between his first love, earthwork engineering, and the mini game business. Some years later, George and Dave struck other deal and THE CONSTRUCTION GAME became the property of The Weekend Farmer Co., George's mini game company. Preparing to manufacture THE CONSTRUCTION GAME in the fresh library-sized box, George and Ann Rohrbacher treated the mini game like they'd acquired a classic automobile. They stripped THE CONSTRUCTION GAME down to its chaise and then rebuilt it lovingly, piece by piece, to their exacting factory specifications. The effect, as you are soon to see, is one of the best mini games you'll ever play. A close relative of THE FARMING GAME, to be sure, but THE CONSTRUCTION GAME is no clone! It stands on its own, a raucous awesome time - a hoot-and-a-half! Have fun!!! George and Ann THE LUCK OF THE DICE: I have had some customer express concern that the dice seem to roll in favor of the computer. Rest assured that the dice rolls are completely random. The same algorithm is used for human and computer users, whether rolling to move or rolling for a job. I have used the algorithm to automate 100,000 rolls for 6 users over a 3 hour time period (600,000 rolls). You can see the data I have collected in this Google spread sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ag2FKYHtP4mSdERrU3oyX3pfejlkRjI1R3d1RHo1Mmc#gid=0. You will message that the data is very skewed after 10 rolls, but become more and more normalized with more rolls (users 1 and 3 started off very well, while user 4 did not, but everyone ends up in essentially the same spot). After 10 rolls for each user (60 rolls) the standard deviation is only 0.1146. After 600,000 rolls there is a standard deviation is a mere 0.0012. Sometimes the dice just won't go your method. Gabriel Kemble: As of 10-7-14 the mini game has been patched and will allow you play a whole mini game without crashing. Thank you to the developer for not abandoning this mini game. I will be buying the farm ver now that they work! Would be nice to see some extra customization in the mini game to let me to tailor the mini game to more outlandish goals. I know it has some already that can be modified but I'd love to change the actual victory conditions.

Aaron Kloepper: The mini game is fun to mix it up with CPU and/or another people. I am using a DROID3. The issues I have are with the "services". Buying the properties and a truck do not work - meaning I bought a truck, but received no revenue. Also, multiple save spots only save one mini game. Unable to save multiple mini games.
