This apk is actively developed by an FX TD (Visual Effects Technical Director), aiming to let quick and no-brainer preparing 360° photos for producing HDRI photos efficiently with RICOH Theta S/SC/V/Z1. Photos taken need to be exported to other apk or on the computer to merge them into the .hdr or the .exr file. There are lots of options to do that, it is recommended to use Photomatrix, PT Gui, Photoshop or Lightroom with the plugin. Features include, 1. Automatically Shooting Multiple 360° Photos For HDRI. 2. Shoot Backplates with the smartphone camera, and organize files efficiently 3. Automatically calculate exposure settings, allowing to cover wide EV range (this apk is now capable of shooting up to ± 9.0 EV range). This means you will not need to struggle with ISO or Shutter Speed Setting anymore with this app. 4. Automatically Download Photos just shot or afterward with file name changed to be meaningful. 5. Comprehensive logging functions to let TD working without pressure on set. Allowing Present thumbnails, comments, photo file inspection, etc. 6. Comprehensive guide included. 7. Connection, Theta Battery and Capacity Indicator. Notice, 1. This apk requires a minimum Theta firmware version. A Google user: Unlike the Ricoh Theta's HDR function which produces an 8 bit per channel jpg, you can make a 32 bit per channel hdr photo with Jianming's apk and Photomatix. Once you have your photo saved as an hdr file, you can begin it anytime and use Photomatix's info enhancer or tone compressor to ok tune the photo.

Simon Nobes: Just reinstalled after upgrading to Theta V. Running recent firmware (ver 3.00.1) and Android device Pie on smartphone. Simple to use and faultless operation. Extends bracketing method beyond the limits of the Ricoh apk. Highly suggested.

Matthew Cornelisse: Decent apk for taking HDR images but missing some key features. 1) delay before first shot so you can receive out of frame, 2) continuous or set count so you can remove noise and people from images by masking out of matching brackets. Would receive 5 stars if I should set it to take 6 sets of brackets then create noise when done.

alastair hearsum: For vfx purposes there are few apks for the Theta V. This is one of the better ones but its just fine. You cant adjust the iso, the white balance is set by presets rather than colour temperature, and it lacks the flexibility to precisely set a range of exposures. On an outdoor shoot on a sunny day, for example, you would typically set an exposure for the sun then over expose from there. The Theta S bracket apk allows this for the S but not the V. That would be a welcome make batter to this apk.

Neil Rowe: Good apk, been looking for something to do exactly this for grabbing HDRI Ibl on set. Dropped a star because the gui does not fit screen properly (Samsung s4 mini).

A Google user: Contacted help twice, no answers! Worked a couple days, then no more connection with camera. Need to uninstall then re-install apk to be able to connect once more with Theta S. Very annoying.

Conrad Crooks: Doesn't seem to give correct bracketing. Doesnt always capture all photos. Captured photo exposure on the low end doesn't seem to match the EV specified.
