Receive the most current and relevant Pennsylvania traffic info on your smart smartphone without ever taking your eyes off the street or your hands off the wheel with 511PA, brought to you by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). 511PA provides real-time, hands-free traffic advisories for every PennDOT roadway in Pennsylvania, and for major roadways in neighboring states of NJ and WV, with more to come. You simply turn on the application before you begin your adventure. 511PA uses your phone’s built-in GPS and the vast data in the PA, NJ and WV travel info system (go to the app's settings screen to enable non-PA advisories) to determine when you are approaching congestion, an accident stage or some another traffic disruption. When there is an incident or slowdown nearby, 511PA broadcasts an advisory. There is nothing to read, nothing to click, nothing to scroll through. You just leave your smartphone in the center console or on the seat beside you and focus your attention on the street ahead.By default, 511PA broadcasts advisories from within a 10-mile radius, but you have the option to reduce or expand the range to as tiny as one mile or as a lot of as 500 miles. 511PA will automatically repeat advisories every 20 mins while you remain within range of the incident, but you can change the setting to hear the advisories more or less frequently. You also can elect whether to hear advisories from all directions or just from the direction you’re traveling, and you have the option of filtering out various types of advisories by state or kind of roadway. The application gives you audio user controls for Play, Pause, Stop, Skip, and Replay All. These controls could not be used while operating your car. If you put or keep a smartphone call while a travel alert is playing and do not have a plan that allows simultaneous data and voice, the alert will pause, and will resume playing when the call has ended.You don’t need to register to use the apk. 511PA operates anonymously. We don’t keep or record any identifying info about you or your smartphone. By default, the apk will report your device-determined speed and place to our servers. The data generated by collecting that info is useful. It can assist improve our ability to provide real-time info about what is event on our roadways. But if you would rather not participate, you will be able to opt out simply by clicking a radio button on the settings page whenever you begin the app.The application is based on Info Logistics’ patent-pending "Begin Microphone Platform," which is a queue-driven streaming technology platform used in combination with your phone's built-in GPS.IMPORTANT – This application is intended to be launched while the player is not operating his or her motor car. Player agrees to use the Application responsibly and to avert any interaction with mobile devices while driving a motor car. Player understands and acknowledges that the Commonwealth Motor Car Code states that ‘No driver shall operate a motor car on a highway or traffic method in this Commonwealth while using an interactive wireless communications device to send, read, or write a text-based communication while the car is in motion.'

Mr. Bruce Arkwright, Jr.: Cams Don't Auto Modernize Video of cams not accessible, and pictures of cams do not modernize automaticly. There at least four cams per place! But at least it is fast accesss to map and cams. Oh yea, the camera option is not saved on map, meaning you have to select option everytime!

Robert Sklar: Needs assist Freezes all the time. Maps fails to load often. When panning maps causes it to freeze. Can't quit and reset have to reboot. When it does work it seems very awesome.

Scott R: This apk is awesome to see traffic and plow trucks, but there is no reason the GPS absolutely needs to be turned on for this apk to work. Everytime I begin the apk, I can't do anything without the GPS on, which could not be important. Please fix this in the next modernize.

Tyler Foster: Kills battery I have an S7, and every time I download this apk it drops my battery life by over half and takes longer to charge my device. I don't need it running all the time, only when I am actually using it! Stop running the apk in the background and I would install once more.

dan smith: klunky Info is not presented in a method that is concise and simple to understand. UI is sloppy. No method to stop it from automatically reading the advisories out loud when the apk is opened. No method to use my built-in Android device text-to-speech voice which I prefer to the voice provided with the apk. I'll just use the PennDOT site and Waze instead.
