Dragonfly uses a camera video stream to perform Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM), a technique described as “the computational trouble of constructing or updating a map of an unknown environment while simultaneously keeping track of a device's place within it “. The device in question is a device equipped with a camera, in this case your Android device device. Dragonfly uses the device’s camera to analyze its surroundings, map the environment around it, and determine its place in reference to its physical context.
