Adventurous Eating is a mini game for children developed with kid feeding specialist Dr Lucy Cooke inspired by the Sapere way. This scientific learning technique encourages kids to learn fresh things about meal using all five senses; sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste. Why Adventurous Eating? This mini game is packed full of fun mini-games that encourage 3 to 6 year olds to discover foods with all five of their senses and assist build a better relationship with meal. We know that kids answer well to feeding or caring for a hero, so the mini game encourages children to test fruit and veg by using all of their senses, as research shows this is an effective method of making fresh meal less intimidating. How does Adventurous Eating work? The mini game starts with your kid making their creature who goes to Bub’s Meal Party at Tasty Turrets. Guided by Bub, they play a fun mini-game at each of the five tables at the party, one for each sense. Watch their creature discover over 40 various fruit and vegetables with all five senses and see the ‘wow moment’ as they begin to see meal in a fresh method! Just like in true life, various creatures like various foods, so the creatures won't always like the meal they test, and that's OK—next time, they might. The idea of the mini game is to become an adventurous eater by earning stars every time their creature uses one of their senses with a fresh fruit or vegetable. These stars give the creature access to the exclusive disco party, where they will hear a special, catchy song for every fruit and vegetable they test. After the disco, the party ends, and everyone goes home with a sticker for their sticker ebook showing the meal they’ve explored that day. Creatures can collect a sticker for each meal they’ve tried and customise it with a silly face and body parts to create it even more fun. Then it’s off to bed, where the creature dreams about what meal they have tried that day! How can Adventurous Eating assist my child? The early results of the mini game are impressive, having been played over a million times by 280,000 kids worldwide. After playing the mini game, the kids test fresh fruits and vegetables and ask when they can play once more to ensure their creature goes to the disco party!
