Ever want you had an additional display for your Mac? There's an apk for that. With Air Display, you can use your Android device screen as a wireless display, to extend your computer desktop. Like a wired monitor, Air Display works in two ways: (1) Extend your Mac screen onto a second screen, or (2) Mirror the contents of your Mac screen onto your Android device screen. Air Display 2 lets you wirelessly extend or mirror your screen to up to four iPads simultaneously to make special training sessions or presentations. And now you can pinch-zoom in and out of high-resolution displays. Air Display's performance is extremely responsive, employing a special dynamic compression algorithm. On a typical Wi-Fi network, mouse cursor refreshes are indistinguishable from a wired mouse. Air Display works in both landscape and portrait configurations. Just rotate your screen, and it automatically reconfigures. Air Display makes a laptop much more useful by increasing its usable screen size. Air Display not only gives you a wireless computer screen extender or mirror, but also works as a smartphone input device. You can use your finger to draw directly on the screen's surface. Test it with a calculator, painting program, or melody control surface. Easy gestures let you to operate the right mouse button and scroll wheel. When you rotate the screen, or disconnect and reconnect, your windows are automatically repositioned appropriately, so you don't have to drag them back to the Android device screen. Some good uses for Air Display contain: - Fill your Air Display screen with your utility apks such as iChat, Mail, iCal, and Calculator. - Graphic design: Create Photoshop and Illustrator usable on your laptop by putting your program palettes on the Android device screen. - Melody: Use your Android device screen as a wireless control surface for Logic or Pro Programs. - Programming: Use the additional display place for such auxiliary development programs as Console, Terminal, and the Debugger. - Business: Move all of your iWork and Office palettes and inspector windows onto Air Display, and allow your document fill the screen. On first begin, Air Display presents simple instructions for downloading and installing the gratis companion help tool for your Mac computer. (NOTE: Please don't buy the desktop CLIENT app—that's for using your Mac or PC as a computer monitor for other computer. Unless you really wish to do that, you probably just wish our gratis desktop host software.) Steffest Maker: The only screen extender I found that was able to extend the laptop screen to both IOS and Android device devices simultaneously. A 3 screen ultra mobile setup. Love it!

Brad Saverino: I have a Galaxy Note Pro 12" and it works well with my Mac that is running Sierra. The only trouble that I am experiencing is that the display preferrences dont work. It just shows an error in the system preferneces which sucks but its not a deal breaker.

Melinda Kraft: I have a Mac - the product works some of the time, but with frequent disconnects it's not worth the effort. On the host Mac side the tool gets stuck and the only method to attempt a reconnect is to quit it completely. The vendor claims that you can connect to your device with an ad-hoc wireless connection network, but doesn't explain that it only works for Windows computers and that most Android device devices cannot see adhoc networks without being rooted. Ad-hoc on Macs is very insecure. I want this was more stable, because when it does work its a good method to gain some additional screen true estate. I'm going to ask for a refund.

Laura Pickrahn: Installed this, connected, but gave a black screen. I'm able to move my mouse over so it is connected but I can't see anything. Found out it will only work with Apple crap and a choose amount of Android device tablets. If that's the case, why did you allow me buy and install on a Note 4? I'm getting a refund.

Graeme Harvey: Installed the tool to run on my desktop. Killed one of my desktop screens, and just says "Waiting for a computer" on my smartphone. Complete disaster for me. EDIT: Got main screens back, but smartphone still saying "Waitng for a computer" Display driver tool installed a few times, but doesn't seem to do anything when double clicked.

Thankfully, Apple addressed this problem in 10.9 and created OS X gratis. So, you just need to make batter to 10.9 to receive this problem resolved" Haha no joke. If it doesn't work with OSX 10.8 don't advertize that it does. Mangling my magic mouse, trackpad, and Bamboo and 3Dconnexion isn't acceptable. **** FURTHER UNINSTALL**** FAILS TO REVERSE DAMAGED MOUSE BEHAVIOR **** DONT INTALL THIS ON 10.8.X **** maybe useful e.g. as monitor for headless MacMini when: ( 1.) USB wired connections supported, as in the iPhone ver (2.) no user-space apk is needed on the Mac, i.e. a USB-attached AirDisplay2 'Droid would be recognized as an attached monitor directly by OSX DisplayLink drivers at boot time , and (3.) spurious display disconnects no longer happen when multitasking away from AirDisplay2 to another apks on the Android device. On OSX to use this apk: requires installation of DisplayLink USB Graphics Macintosh Driver and requires installation of Air Display Host. Also, taking the whole Mac blankscreen un-announced during un-install is a bit rough.
