The Airway Triage Apk can be used by all health care specialists in any clinical situation in which airway management is needed. With the simple to use PHASE and HELP-ET checklists the airway of your patient can be triaged within mins into primary or advanced. This is the best airway assessment program to clearly define primary airways that can be managed with primary airway management techniques by a trained person. Advanced airways could be managed by medical personnel with advanced airways skills and unique equipment may be required. Complexity factors that may create airway management very challenging can be found and used to create an airway management plan. This is the first airway assessment program that implements human factors, vital signs and the surgical procedure. The apk can be used in pre-assessment clinics, in the operating room environment, in the ICU and emergency department for patients > 12 years old or prior to procedural sedation. With the Circles of Life airway approach you can check if you are “fit-to-fly with this patient for this airway management procedure”. The Circles of Life approach can be used by trainees to evaluate the progress of skills and training and can also be used by experienced airway managers to seek assist or assistance for specific highly complex procedures.
