  Robert Pierson: It's the first time I've searched for and found an apk that'll do exactly what I wanted. That alone deserves 5 stars. Being able to shrink the keyboard shortens my keystrokes and improves my input speed and accuracy, especially in landscape mode. The only OS caused problem is the floating keyboard isn't very useful when you can't move the pop up dialog (like this review box) box away from the center of the screen so it isn't covered by the floating keyboard. You can avoid this by shrinking the keyboard even more or switching to normal mode which is simple enough but defeats the purpose. All pop up dialog boxes could be moveable as well. I'm sticking with this one though.

  A Google user: ...for the excellent keyboard apk for my Toshiba Thrive smartphone. Of the 6 keyboards I've tried, this is the only one that has everything I need, no compromises important. Most keyboard apks' predictive text is a joke, but this one is SO incredibly intuitive right "out of the box" with the ability to "learn" to become even more so as it's used. It can be set to auto-correct mispelled words as you kind, and the accuracy of that function is perfect. It even capitalizes and does some of the punctuation for me, while I just hold typing merrily along. This keyboard has customizable everything...fonts, colors, themes , and much more, but the best thing is you can float each side of the keyboard to anywhere on the screen, and resize the height, width and place between them to whatever is most comfortable for you. I required that because with my smartphone in landscape mode, my thumbs couldn't reach all the letters comfortably on a standard layout keyboard, and the another split keyboard apks I tried were either fixed or not customizable enough. Other good feature is the ability to make custom shortcuts for my often used phrases! Float n Split Smartphone Keyboard is definitely a keeper

  A Google user: Purchased back in July 2012 but uninstalled after days because not compatible with Asus Transformer H/W keyboards. English UK layout @ buttons etc still in wrong put but thats fine as you have to look at what your finger is typing but at least now when attaching TF300FT H/W keyboard, keyboard auto switches & A.I keyboard doesn't pop up like before older versions. This is now quite an awsome apk, leaving this installed from now on.

  A Google user: I got this apk because the keyboard that came with my smartphone really lacked functionality and customization and I'm extremely glad I did. I tried the gratis ver and decided to buy the full ver before my time expired because it works so well. No issues whatsoever! I also love how you can separate it & just use your thumbs. Too a lot of pros to comment on. Only con is that it could be the one that all smartphone manufacturers use pre loaded!

  A Google user: Modernize, unbelievable now with voice to text and read a loud. I have a Asus tablets, both good but typing is difficult. The split screen is the best. I keep with both hands typing. Love this apk. I'm typing my review on it now and like that the screen is split and it reappears after u click on the review screen once more. Totally worth for cash :-)

  Kenneth McKirahan: This is by far the best keyboard apk I have ever come across for my smartphone and I have tried a lot! Love being able to resize and float the keyboard. Has built-in cursor movement keys for ease in getting the cursor right where you wish it, and copy/paste! Also, most of the additional ASCII symbols are accessible via a long press on the keyboard without having to go to other keyboard page.

  Andy Harrison: Loving FnS and this ver works good on my Xoom. The idea of a keyboard that doesn't constantly work versus you vying for screen true estate could not be so novel. In contrast, FnS does a good job of being unintrusive while still delivering everything you expect from an on-screen keyboard. Instead of being a static chunk of the bottom of your screen, FnS will go anywhere you like. Keyboard getting in the method of typing something a webpage? Just slide it out of the method without interrupting anything. Hands getting uncomfortable holding your device, slide the keyboard into a various position, resize it, whatever. Instead of bending yourself to the keyboard, bend the keyboard to you.
