You can actually leave your smartphone below and set it up AFTER the hook is set. Good concept and good design.   Jimmie Allison: I downloaded this to use with offline maps, which is necessary in my place. Turns out you need to download other apk (Sailgrib WR) and pay for offline maps. Then it's a struggle to receive the AA apk to search the map files downloaded with the WR apk. Also there are no satellite imagery maps accessible offline. The apk also makes an annoying beep every 5 seconds when the GPS gets a reading. I finally figured out how to receive rid of that in smartphone settings but you have to be attentive not to disable all sounds because then the main function of the apk, an alarm, won't even sound. The alarm sound also isn't very piercing. It's type of a low volume and I'm scared it won't wake me up. Also the apk says you have to leave the screen on for it to work. That will be annoying sleeping with a screen on and will drain battery even faster, hopefully not faster than it can charge. Too a lot of variables to go wrong for me to believe this apk so I use other apk for the alarm and just hold this running in the background because I can use it for the offline NOAA map.
