  Spencer Kuzara: Best TV experience I've ever had with a launcher. Nothing comes close in terms of player functionality while using a remote only. Nothing. If Google ever decides to abandon this platform, I hope they begin source this launcher so that the community can continue to help and make fresh devices that contain and improve upon this launcher.

  Steve Tysl: Good device Love my Nexus user, and for those that complain no browser umm test going to your broswer on your computer,phone, or smartphone kind in the playstore url and find Chrome and install it on your Nexus User... you will need a wireless bluetooth mouse and keyboard to use it but you can install it playstore is to limited on the nexus user and doesn't really present all the apks and mini games that are compatible on it unless you go to the playstore url on your browser there are a lot more apks and mini games that are compatible with Android device TV then you all think don't be so judgmental on the nexus user and don;t expect much from it like it's a "OH GREAT I HAVE A COMPUTER ON MY TV NOW!!" even though it's meant to be a media streamer

  Etienne Savard: Still in its infancy but has large potential The children are enjoying the Nexus User so far. I know it will take some time to the publishers to port their apks and mini games to the Nexus User but I'm ready to wait. I'm sure things will improve as the platform evolves.

  Terry Johnson: This apk has LOT's of potential and is already my go to lauincher > Leanback. Few things that should be done IMO are ability to create tiles a tiny smaller for 5 columns and 5 rows as some of us have really big and little TV's. Ability to change the 'icon' for apks is good.

  Matt Lane: The recently used apks used to fall to the left so they were simple to receive to. This needs to return. It was one of the things that Google created a large deal about at I/O. (this was added back as of the 12/9/15 modernize to TV launcher) Also we could be able to have a favorites row for our most used apks. This is show in all versions of Android device. If the TV experience is supposed to be melded in like all another platforms this is a must have feature. Otherwise people are just going to begin using their own launchers and that defeats the purpose of the Android device TV experience. Updated: Most recently used apks re-ordering is back. I added a begin to my review making it 4 out of 5

  JJ KwiK: We need the ability to customize the launcher. Allow the player filter what is displayed in the top suggestions bar. The ability to add apk sections to the launcher would be good as well. What about widget help? At the moment, the launcher is incredibly restrictive.

Stanton: Needs more Could begin as a android device television controler for Nexus User, but also as a on device controller for Chromecast, the nexus user still needs the WIFI fixed, it wont stay connected to wireless connection, regardless of the wireless connection router when all another devices work ok with them it cannot connect or stay connected. (This could be the cast center for chromecast as well....)

  Heath Vogel: My OCD is flaring up... I want I should reorder my apks... Even if they ordered themselves alphabetically, I would be satisfied. Oh, and if the YouTube suggestions at the top should be moved - or if I should elect to remove them entirely, since I barely watch YouTube - I would be so satisfied. Otherwise, it's beautiful, fast and responsive (after I upgraded to Android device 5.1).

  Travis Hoogendoorn: Sugestions 1. As others have said, there could be a method to reorganize the home screen. 2. Please contain more categories. "Entertainment Apks" is very vague. "News Apks" or "Education Apks" or even a custom label? 3. Embrace freedom to select. In the same method that Chrome on a desktop allows me to specify alternate find providers, so too an API for 3rd parties (Hulu, Netflix, etc) could be developed to be included in content find results, and I could have the option to disable content providers I do not use, including Google's. 4. When a Physical keyboard is in use, the on-screen keyboard could go away, and the arrow keys could behave as standard arrow keys, not as d-pad dirrections for letter selection on the virtual keyboard. 5. A key on a physical keyboard could function as a the back button on the remote. I hold having to go back and forth between keyboard, mouse and remote, and this is highly annoying. I could be able to opperate the device with any one of these alone. 6. This is not a launcher problem, but the Chrome browser could be updated for full Nexus User help, and it could work as seemlessly with a keyboard and mouse as it does with a remote.

  Bill Young: It's alright, but it's the largest reason a lot of apks that would otherwise work with Android device TV don't. Also, it's beautiful much unable to be customized outside of turning some recommendations on and off. It would be beautiful nice if I should set my Sony XBR55X850 to display my more commonly used apks (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, TED, VLC, and the Play Melody and Video apks) in locked positions instead of them magically appearing in random spots. Even my Apple TV isn't this awful when it comes to not being able to have a custom menu. Another than that, it's actually a really awesome TV interface since the tiles for apks are really big and visible across the room. This beats both Samsung's Tizen and LG's WebOS interfaces for content on screen versus icon size. Also, it should be a tiny more fluid at times.

  Peter Dunphy: Needs a browser people Android device TV needs a browser badly. Any internet enabled device is hobbled without one. Noobs could not have to sideload one. I am thinking the only true testing they did on the Nexus User was using ChromeCast. How do you watch +18yr YouTube videos directly on the Television without ChromeCast? tip, it can't be done. How do view a URL? can't be done. How do you browse non-game, non-media apks? can't be done. The list goes on...

  Ravin Vyas: First off, I'd like to say that the interface for this is very nice and simple to use. That said, I'm really bummed out that this doesn't live up to the Android device OS potential, IMO. Running vanilla Android device OS on either a smartphone or smartphone will allow me move custom apks, either developed by myself or from third party sources onto my home screen. It lets me make folders for my apks and organize them in my home screen or menu that method. There's also an place for all apks in case I have apks I don't wish to access from the home screen. All of those vanilla Android device features are missing on the TV platform with this launcher. I had to pick up a separate apk to access all apks from a various developer, which IMO could be part of the stock launcher. I feel that next to the power buttons, there could be 2 more buttons: [ view all apks ] [ manage home screen ] Opening [ view all apks ] will allow me see all apks, both show in my current home screen, as well as apks that are not on my home screen. There could be an option to sort by name, kind, or latest accessed date. Opening [ manage home screen ] could give me the option to create/remove "Categories" and apks within them.

  Tony Damiani: Needs more! The Android device TV Launcher needs more material design, consistency on the Google apks & Compatibility. I think all Google apks except those like (Smartphone and Contacts) to be compatible with the TV. Imagine Drive, Images, Google +, Chrome, Maps, Hold, etc all in your TV with an updated Android device TV Remote apk. The possibilities are endless.

  TV Rothfischer: Still lot's of work important. If no sources for suggestions are chosen the first line could not present up. Instead it uses a large place of the screen to give the player a notification about the player could choose some resources! Also I miss everyday TV present suggestions etc. So far the SONY TV tutorial can't be chosen as a source for suggestions. But this should also be a missing of the Sony apk.

  John Scott: Very, very limited. There is no method to create fresh shortcuts or favorites. Apks promote themselves in the apk hierarchy based on usage frequency but there is no method to add a shortcut or icon. This is crippling.

  Jan Schneidt: I'm using it on my Sony TV. Should not deaktivate the sugguested Apks or place it to the bottom. Also there are Apks place forward which I have already installed. So everytime I need to scroll though these Apks before I receive to "my" Apks. Quite annoying. Not sure if it is a android device TV or general google or sony television bug, but since the latest few updates after watching a twitch stream for a while I should not play any video in any apk anymore. (twitch apk deinstall also does not assist) Only TV reboot fixes the trouble.
