Around Sound Pro allows you to listen to melody, watch videos or play mini games while still being aware of your surroundings. Then depending on the mode it either pauses or dips the volume of your melody or film then plays back the sound that triggered it. Then returns your melody or film to normal volume or resumes playback. Bluetooth Mic Option: Currently only works with mono headsets and some AD2P kind Where would I use it? +At the office: pause your melody automatically when someone is trying to receive your attention +At home: Don't miss door slams, kids crying, your dog barking, or another warning signs +At the airport: Relax at the gate and have your melody pause when the gate announcements begin +Anywhere relatively quiet where you wish to know if something happens around you Best to use with: Sound isolating earbud headphones with mic- These are practically earplugs now, so don't miss out on what's around you. You can use it with just headphones but be aware the microphone used is now your smartphone. So leaving it in your pocket wouldn't work so well. How to use: Create sure your headset is plugged in. Simply begin the apk, push Begin, see the noise level around you, set the trigger level by using your finger to swipe the meter, hit the home button to access your melody, videos or mini games and enjoy. Limitations: -Needs Gingerbread or higher (Android device ver 2.3, etc) -You can't be in a really loud environment otherwise the microphone input will be maxed out and there is no method to detect a louder sound. Jevgeni Shirokov: Almost there. The apk works, but needs some tweaking or extra setup options. As others mentioned, more sensitive to high pitched sounds than low noises, so I had some of my mouse clicks register as above threshold, while deeper human voices would not. Also needs the option to set the preferred mic, when using my standard earphones I noticed the melody playing in the earphones for some reason also registers as external sound. Dev, if you create these adjustments, the apk will be really good!

sarah inserra: waste of cash. doesn't work with any of the 5 various bluetooth headphones in the house unless i install an apk to turn headset to mono mode. super annoyed. when i do that the latency is so awful its actually distracting. i thought a reboot of smartphone might assist but then i couldn't refund.

David Hastings: Needs work. Method too sensitive to high pitch sounds and could be tweaked to be more sensitive to sounds in the normal human voice range. Needs to have an option to dim the audio and play the surrounding sound louder when the set level is tripped. As it is, when using road mode, you can't hear someone talking to you very well. It is muffled and the audio from what you are listening to method overpowers it.

Chico Pollard: This apk needs a lot of work. Slight delay. Causes melody to be distorted. It does work with my Bluetooth earbuds though.
