This apk should save your life. Before walking in the wilderness tag your starting point (even if you do not use the apk on the walk) if you receive lost you can fire it up and it will point you back to security. IMPORTANT FEATURES Does not require network access Allows entry of any latitude and longitude for geocaching Choose what info fields are displayed on each screen Change font size to read without glasses Import and Export waypoint list file - to back up, preload or transfer between devices This apk is designed to let you to make and save waypoints and then using only the GPS (no network access required) it will direct you back with a easy arrow showing the direction to go and the distance to the waypoint. To make a waypoint you either enter the latitude and longitude manually or stand in a place and allow the gps fill in the latitude and longitude of the put you are standing. I use this apk when I am backpacking round India. When I arrive at my hotel I add a waypoint (saving that place). if at any time I am lost in the town I can begin the apk and it will give me a easy arrow pointing the method back and the distance. Or when parking my vehicle in a strange town or country place I add a waypoint before leaving the vehicle. I know that I will always be able to search my method back. To save battery I often don't leave the apk running, I just begin it up and receive a GPS fix to add a waypoint and then only if I receive lost I begin it up once more to search the direction back. OK so there is no map but then it is designed to work with no network access and therefore not make roaming network charges. If ever you receive disorientated you can use this apk to receive you back to your hotel. You can even used it to check the taxi driver is taking you back to your hotel. This apk will even work in Airplane Mode. You can also enter a target Latitude and Longitude for Geocaching. WARNING Android device tries to enable place services when you enable the GPS - this might cause network charges. Create sure that you only enable the GPS or enable as prompted and switch off place services leaving the GPS on - that is gratis. Also switch the GPS off while not using the apk to save battery - this apk will prompt you to do this on exit. I have inspected this apk on a Sony Xperia SP and a Nexus tablets so would like feedback on how it works on another devices. Once installed check the Preferences Menu because I have included a range of customise features like what fields are displayed, text size and troops.
