  Almon Dao: This requires the use of an official HTC created usb-C to 3.5mm adapter. The HTC adapter is what this firmware updates. Not the smartphone. So generic adapters will not work. Mine works good but I got an official adapter from purchasing HTC U11. :)

  Michael Monroe: I had a trouble with this until I figured it out. 1. Uninstall this apk if you installed it. 2. Reset your smartphone 3. After the reset, plug in your headphone adapter with the headphones in it. 4. Wait for the prompt to choose modernize. 5. That's it. It takes a few seconds for it to engage, but it works.

  Travis Williams: Adapter works perfectly on my U11 and year old ONE10! Those complaining don't receive the fact that the digital to analog processing is performed in the adapter and the provider needs to supply the driver/software. It's not an HTC thing if you are not using one from them. As for the U Ultra, I'm not tracking as it works good on my HTC 10, which is over a year old.

  Uncinematographable Screenshot Cinema: Jack adaptor in the process of dying today, Dec 8 2018. I have just polished the contacts with a polyester shirt, rubbing alcohol and a flat bobby pin. Each dip brought more tarry black on the shirt until I just thought..ok that's enough. Changing to 5⭐s as it is not this apk causing my trouble. I had the smartphone over a year. What that guy said about 3.5 jack I kinda sorta gotta accept with, since there remains to be a quality, sweat resistant BT headphone design. The sweat (and trust me if you roller blade in summer you will experience it too, the earfoams'll stink after a while at least a month) is not the only trouble with bluetooth headphones either. However, as bt phones are an necessary advance from another remote smartphone options of the latest decades, and the 30 year wait from '83 walkman era to '13 bt era was looooong-- Aaactually take the earfoams off my Pioneer phones, and place them in the wash. My Pioneer bt's have another awful issues. The headband's plastic broke twice, (create sure your band is metal not plastic) the foam lost its fabric and had to be fixed on by clamping the foam under the plastic clip... My molded, rivited, epoxied metal rails (my fix for plastic breaks) beneath the headband leather holds beautiful awesome, but they look retarded and crooked. However my largest trouble with my $75 Pioneers is the audio range is inferior to my $30 wired Sonys. So now I am sort of half-assedly seeking a fresh pair. Unfortunately they are at least $75 bucks for a low range pair and I bet 90 people can't afford it. --Earbuds cause tinnitus in monkeys.
