The cursors can be turned on and off in the Menu.The loudspeaker polarity checker can be used to check whether a loudspeaker is wired in phase: connect the AudioTool output to the speaker under try, choose "Polarity" from the signal generator screen, then return to the RTA screen. If the speaker is out of phase (polarity reversed) AudioTool will present "Pol ---", otherwise "Pol +++" if the speaker is in phase.The Noise Criteria (accessible from the Menu) function shows a set of NC contours overlaid on the 1/1 Octave RTA display and the calculated true time current NC value is also shown.The Chart Recorder shows a moving trace of the SPL measurements over the latest few minutes.RT60 measurements can be created via the "RT60" button, and then using a loud clap (or related) to trigger the measurement. RT60 can also be used with Pink Noise from the AudioTool generator. RT60 times measure how much reverberation or echo there is in a room, place or venue.The Signal Generator generates White and Pink Noise, Sine, Square, Triangle and Ramp waves, Sine Wave Linear and Log Sweeps, Warbles and Impulses. The generator uses multiple cycled buffers, refreshed randomly so ensuring truly random White/Pink noise. Pink Noise algorithm uses Kemmet's way to adjust White into Pink. The frequency accuracy of the generated periodic signals is typically around 1%. Sine wave fidelity is awesome throughout most of the audio range. Good apk used with success Used On the Xperia z although specific handset cals would be a premium if possible as had to use a calibrator from a handheld meter but this has tiny or no bearing on the program

Lonnie Mixon: Perfect for Equalizing - limited only by the device inputs and outputs This tool is a good program for equalizing your system. I use an external calibrated microphone rather than the internal microphone of my Motorola Android device Razr M because the internal microphone has a substantial 8 dB peak at 8K. The player could also be aware that most mobile devices contain an abrupt high-pass filter preventing accurate adjustments below the 64Hz band. This is a limitation of the device - not this tool. My measurements of the internal generator indicate that the pink noise is accurate to +/-1.5dB from 32 - 16k Hz, which is plenty accurate for setting most equalizers. Overall, a very nice tiny tool limited only by the mobile device's inputs and outputs.

Danny Pratt: Perfect RTA with some additional features like RT60 to assist getting a room's acoustics figured out. I am an audiovisual engineer and it has helped me greatly when I do that have the NTI around. Best of all, it is extremely close to the accuracy of it's professional counterpart. Garth D. Wiebe: Met my expectations I use it with a Samsung Galaxy S7. This is just a no-brainer for $8. I used a BAFX BAFX3370 sound level meter to determine the calibration offset to be -9 dB for the internal microphone and -5 dB for the Dayton Audio iMM-6 measurement microphone on my device. The combination with or without the iMM-6 tracked very closely from about 40 dBA to 90 dBA SPL using a pink noise source and studio monitors. Under 40 dBA SPL they didn't track, and I wasn't able to provide a pink noise source above 90 dBA SPL.

I would really like to buy an external mic. I tried one but it was no better than the internal. I have access to a cat 1 instrument as a ref. Any ideeas?

James Daniels: UPDATE: Clearly, the developer has noticed that the font had always been too little. Good fixes have been created in that respect, thanks! Good set of programs. Want it had memory buttons for saving/loading your own fast settings. Want you should change the colors of the spectogram. Haven't checked this for accuracy, but the ability to save and load calibration curves may mean fast calibration no matter what device you have. Outstanding apk and a must have for any sound professional.

matt hall: Good A heavy assist when used with the Dayton imm 6 mic for setting eq and crossovers in my vehicle. I tried to use my ears as much as possible but this helped me identify some peaks in the response that I would've missed otherwise.
