  Chris Anthony: The apk works well and George at tech help was very helpful to set it up. I used a Google Pixel 3 smartphone, and had to turn off Smart Connect on my router to receive an explicit 2.4 GHz band. Pairing must be done over WiFi, and after the hub is paired I switched the router back to Smart Connect and used an Ethernet cable to connect the hub to my router. The hub doesn't help pairing over Ethernet right now.

  A Google user: UI can be improved, but nevertheless offers a lot of convenient features and integration with Google Assistant. For example, I can say "begin [name] blind to 30%". Seems to have bugs on sunrise/sunset time where it's off by around half an hour here at Sydney. And seem to have bugs when Google Assistant tries to open/close multiple blinds simultaneously (eg, with "begin [room] blinds" and only one blind works and the another one fails)

  Shawn: Fine apk. Had problems pairing with remote. Had to double press p2 button a few times during the process (it was unclear what combination actually worked). Would be nice to share devices in groups. I.e have bedroom, kitchen and living room groups with their own devices. And also have a master switch for all of them. Would also be nice to set favourite customized presets (I.e. 20% closed) with the press of a button

  Matt Henley: The Pulse 2 apk itself seems to work ok. But if anyone wants to use it with the Google assistant, be aware that it can't be programmed into Google routines (multiple commands from a single voice command). Google blames the Pulse 2 apk for this (I think it's a Google problem), but it works ok with Amazon Alexa.

  Rickey Lee: Had to receive a ladder to tool the 15 roller shades to connect to the apk in all various rooms. Worked ok for a few days, then suddenly I was asked to re-login today. Logged in and all the rooms and shades I had configured previously had all mysteriously disappeared!!! Now I need to reprogram everything all over once more. What gives?! Can this details be recovered? ****** Seems like the hub was offline for some reason. Had to do a hard restart and reconnect wireless connection but was able to recover my settings

  Peter Brennen: Older pulse 1 hub works well. The newer Pulse 2 dose, just. Wireless to motor cuts in and out with hub 2 meters from blinds. Delay up to 5 seconds from apk. Don't make batter unless you need the API interface for home automation.

  Michael Matthews: Once I realized my pixel 3 couldn't set up the pulse 2, switched to my pixel 2 and it worked. It is working ok on all phones, with rf remotes, and with schedules. Sunset is calculated incorrectly, but an offset in mins fixes that (yet to see if daylight savings works). Using with Google assistant works reliably, but commands aren't obvious. Pairing with a remote after pairing with the pulse erases the pulse connection, but reverse works. No method to adjust motor speed with this apk

  Kevin Delafield: The UI is a tiny clunky and pairing the hub to your router took about 5 tries. But, once you receive everything set up, it works well. No trouble adding it to Alexa, which is primarily how I will use it. -1 for UI. -1 for pairing the hub. Besides that it works well and is stable. Thanks to the help rep who called me back after hours and walked me through it 👍 An modernize. The hub and the apk are very stable. Good Alexa and smart things integration.

  Kenneth Wong: It was all working ok before but now my blinds don't work on sunrise. It works ok on sunset but not sunrise for some reason. I have tried toggling it off and on. I even deleted the action and recreated it and it still does not work. I am using Google routines to begin my blinds on sunrise and it works but it is not as custom as I wanted.

  Molly Davies: It took some effort to receive this to all work but the help squad went so far as to call me on the smartphone to receive everything working. And now it does! Works with the apk and with my voice on my Google home. Cool! Very satisfied. Update...motor failed so had to receive a fresh motor and pair it once more with the hub. I am unable to on my own and I am waiting for customer service to assist once once more. No hurt to them but this shouldn't be this hard.

  Adam Granato: Lacking 5ghz wireless connection help which is dissapointing. I hope this is on the roadmap as an improvement to be delivered shortly. I have a google mesh wireless connection and this simply won't work because you need a dedicated 2.4ghz frequency to communicate the apk with the hub. Google mesh switches automatically between 2.4ghz and 5ghz making it unsuitable.

  Daniel: I did trust this was the worst apk and hub device. Nothing was working. Even with the assist of tech help, we still got nowhere. However, after a period of latency I was able to receive fhe hub to work (so far - 2 months in - it is still working). There are problems with this hub as it appears I'm not the only one who has had issues pairing. But, the technical help staff is there and ready, and willing to assist, and they are quite sedulous. The developers could take notes from them.

  Sushant Guduru: Other modernize to my review. The pulse hub itself has fixed itself and is now working good. Now my trouble is the apk itself. It renders horribly on my smartphone .. a pixel 5. The top part of the apk dissapers under a black bar, meaning I can't press any buttons on the top part of the apk. I can't edit any of the settings as I physically can't touch the buttons. Beautiful awful considering the pixel runs base Android device. I need to use my wife's smartphone- iphone - to do anything another than close and begin.

  Greg Taylor: 1. There's a bug when you disable and re-enable a timer. After doing this, my timer no longer works... Possibly similar to fresh offline "improvements". Single floor property and blinds are within 10m of hub. Manually triggering the stage works. 2. Bug where using down/up functions on smartphone apk intermittently stops working. E.g. pressing up/down down shows animation of blind but nothing is event on the physical blind. Changing to other device "magically" starts working once more. This is a bug. 3. Animation of blind going up and down is a awesome idea but the apk appears buggy. Developers are not calculating the animation speed correctly so it assumes a generic blind size. Developers need to shop how long it takes to receive from top to bottom position and adjust animation speed accordingly. 4. PUSH5 remote stopped working after pairing hub. This should just be a coincidence and the actual faulty component is the remote its-self. 5. Some serious work required around pairing hub - lots of fatal device crashes. Luckily the 3rd device I tried worked after a few attempts. 6. Please consider including some feedback around the firmware ver. I have ver 1.0.0 and I'm unsure if this is the "recent" or where/how to patch the firmware. I've found the apk quite buggy so I wish to create sure I have recent firmware.

  Nic Capdevila: Apk isn't formatted to work properly on pixel 5 making it unusable. It is 100% a function of the apk, not the device. Saying otherwise is a lie. Properly try the apk in the emulator and you could be able to replicate it. There's a reason the apk has awful reviews, it's poorly written. - Modernize 8 Months later. Still doesn't work. Do not buy this system. The apk is unusable and developers can't fix primary issues. You learn these things in a Intro to Tool dev class, it's not hard, they just don't care.

  Dave Lessard: Worked for hours to test and setup the IOS apk and finally gave up to use my Android device device instead, only to search it doesn't work there either. I regret buying the Automate Pulse 2 and highly suggest you don't waste your hard earned cash on this poorly designed and built box.

  Kirt Williams: Awful. Works sometimes with Google assistant but most times doesn't. Apk doesn't even format correctly on pixel 5. This needs to be fixed. The only reason I bought this hub is for the Google assistant inclusion since I already had the previous hub which didn't have it baked in. And it doesn't even work so now I have two hubs that don't have Google Assistant working. Waste of cash.
