  James Elliott: Works 100% Good apk. And good concept. Sometimes you need to leave the vehicle to search a certain put. Thats whats good about the apk. The smartphone can take over for navigation duties. Or the vehicle from smartphone. Allowing more flexibility. The head unit i use is a Avic970BT and when i bought it pioneer hadn't even got this apk out to the shop. Then when it was released it wouldn't connect to the head unit. Required a firmware make batter. But once this was done. It has work good ever since. Remember to make batter firmware

  Matt Brickett: Works for me... I have a 5000NEX for about a year now and been very frustrating trying to connect my Galaxy s5. This apk finally allows me to receive traffic and weather updates after updating both devices. The only downside is I have to begin the apk on my smartphone in order for it to work. Helpful tip: Test setting your smartphone to Bluetooth only in settings.

  Nick Hirst: Very late but quite awesome Go onto the Pioneer site and download the recent firmware for your head unit. Follow the instructions and after a tiny while (YouTube video) you'll receive it working. Just a shame it's taken so long!

  Alan Rubin: Downloaded fresh firmware and I finally figured out how to connect All, after downloading the firmware, I finally got the apk to work. Connect the smart smartphone to the USB cable and create sure the USB cable is able to transmit data (not just charge smart smartphone). Once connected, click on the vehicle icon near the bottom of the screen. Once you click on that vehicle icon, you could be able to go through the process of associating your smartphone to the head unit and access all the features of the apk. Please note you will not have access to Android device Auto when using this apk.

  Daniel Chaves: For those saying this apk does not work with the 8100NEX, Did you install the December 16th 2015 firmware modernize that adds compatibility? because I did and the apk works perfectly with the unit... the only thing I have left to figure out is which subscriptions are accessible in the US. :)

  The apk itself is good - no crashing, quick, nice UI. Very limited help for various OS. In newer android device devices you can not connect the smartphone as mass storage device via usb so you are left with only BT option.There's the trouble with paying for something that is accessible gratis from google maps like live traffic.

  David Larson: It works for me! I'm glad they came out with this apk. I have the 5000nex & really regretted not spending the additional $ for the 6000nex, to keep the live traffic map. Because of this apk, I now have that, plus more! There's room for improvement, but I'm happy overall with this apk. It works with no trouble via Bluetooth with my Galaxy S7

  Jerry Fang: Works on Note 5 and AVIC8000nex Finally got it to work. Modernize my AVIC8000nex to firmware 1.11 and this feature pops up. I've couldn't receive it to sync till I'd swap to USB port 2 and it sync up right away. I deduct 1 begin because I'd waited for this since I've bought my 8000nex and when it release on firmware 1.11. Now they wish to charge me $15 for 1 year for North America connected service and $25 for 1 year of live HD traffic. *Modernize* after reading some of the reviews for not working. U must use usb port2,usb port 1 is for updating fw

  Jesse Duran: I Can Confirm This Works With Samsung 8+, however with the paid services such as parking, weather and traffic, traffic comes gratis on the pioneer NEX and parking and gas prices you can search on Android device auto for gratis. This is old technology offered for gratis now days. This apk i do not see useful unless you need to find for directions before entering the vehicle. If services were cheaper and or gratis than maybe a 5 star! Just Maybe!! WInk WInk...

  Rob Lynch: After updating my 8100 to the 1.05 firmware I can confirm that it works. It is a bit clunky but once you have it set up it becomes nearly effortless. For those hoping that this will lift your pioneer head unit out of the mire of dinosaur navigation systems with paid map updates, I'm sorry. AVICSync is not that. What it is however may still have some value for those who do like the built-in navigation. I can admit it has a lot of good features that even the venerable Google Maps can't touch [yet]. AVICSync provides access to a paid bonus data services that assist close the gap with online maps like Google's. The overall result is that for a price you receive something that is in some methods better and maybe even a awesome value. Once you have it hooked up to your smartphone and the service activated find become much more useful and found plenty of POIs that opened in the latest year. If the data service was gratis with your $1K+ stereo I'd be much more inclined to give this a 5 star review in spite of the obvious flaws with setup and some odd interface choices. As is there aren't a lot of reasons to use Pioneers Built-In Nav+AVICSync over Google Maps.

  Lester A.: Not practical - Galaxy S5/8000NEX The apk is well design and it works good, however, if I leave it running on the background it drains the battery in a few hours, so i search myself turning the apk on and off, mayor draw back. The culprit is probably the standalone Nav. which I don't need, Maps does a awesome job when I need a Nav. Please create a lite ver if possible without the standalone Nav. and please add the option for the traffic light cameras, that will justify paying for the annual subscription.

  john slaughter: I have a 8200NEX. Everything works including apk on Samsung Galaxy 8+/S6 Edge/S6/S5/S4. Firmware 1.04. Also....For those just downloading this apk. You will need to also download the maps Second! Create sure you have the newest firmware for your Unit or you will receive errors as well. This is mandatory or you will receive nothing showing on screen. Now, for starters...Who makes a navigation apk without voice activation??? Not sure who even thought that was a good idea! Can you add the Mic icon to the keyboard so that one does not need to be fiddling with the keyboard typing in the address? You add this and it actually works. I will revisit my rating.

  Kenny G: Doesn't work My 8100nex says to connect to smartphone even though it is connected via Bluetooth. Between the fact that android device auto only works through usb and this apk taking over a year to develop for it to not work, I am kinda regretting my purchase of a pioneer head unit (I've been buying pioneer only since 2003).
