Backs up all my kiks to my sdcard.. Learn what having root access means and how to use an apk before leaving a awful review. For the people who can't search Kik on the shop, test to clear your play shop data and Google Framework data and see if you can search kik then.

  Moritz Nicklas: I have a rooted S3 and the apk also didn't work for me in the first put. I tried to figure out what the trouble was. A installation of Busybox fixed it and the apk worked from then on. So maybe the developer could add to the description that you not only need root access, also a installation of Busybox is needed!

Can I backup messages and restore them on a difderent, fresh acc ? kik doesn't shop it online and messages can be lost simple. Where are they saved on android device ? The price is awesome but if I wanted just one apk I would have to buy 15 dollar card

  Eugene Cheng: I've used the apk in the past and it's worked beautifully. However with a kik modernize adding additional info to a filename, the apk no longer functions as intended. This can be fixed manually by making a copy of your ###.kikdatabase.db and rename it without the ###. into the same folder.

  Chris N: You CAN receive this apk to work, but you have to copy and rename your Kik database. This apk works for an older ver of Kik. To receive this to work on the newest Kik, use a rooted file manager, goto /data/data/kik.android/databases and copy your Kik database. It will have a name with a bunch of letters and numbers, then "kikdatabase.db" at the end. Go back one folder level so you can paste that file and rename it (DO NOT just rename the orig file, Kik will stop working). Paste the copy of the file and rename it to "kikdatabase.db" removing all the random numbers and letters. Slash and paste that file back in /data/data/kik.android/databases and begin this apk. Click on the line that "reads" your Kik database and it will work. You'll have to redo this process to backup any fresh messages you receive later, but it works 100% if you follow these instructions.
