About the application:

Berea College News & Radio is an online, student-produced tv and radio station. We feature regular tv news broadcasts and a 24-hour online radio station, both dedicated to the special community that is Berea College. We cover stories relevant to the college, the town of Berea, and national problems as well as some stories meant to create you laugh. We strive for the highest journalistic integrity and quality, exploring multiple facets of every story. Students are responsible for pitching story ideas, then planning, writing, filming, and editing those stories for broadcast. They gain experience both on and off camera and hone their skills in researching, reporting, and interviewing. A lot of of them are enrolled in Berea's Broadcast Journalism courses in hopes of earning a minor in the topic. Students have secured internships at local tv stations such as WKYT in Lexington and national networks, including National Public Radio in Washington, D.C.
