Perhaps no another translation has undergone a thorough process of review and revision. From the beginning, the NIV has tried to bring modern readers of the Bible as closely as possible to the experience of early readers Bible: providing the best possible blend of transparency to original documents and understand the original meaning in every verse. With this clarity of focus, however, came to the realization that the work to translate the NIV would never truly complete.
