About the application:

Fresh Testament with Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Songs is translated from Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic texts by Dr. Brian Simmons. Dr. Brian Simmons is known as a passionate lover of God. After a dramatic conversion to Christ, Brian knew that God was calling him to go to the unreached people of the globe and show the gospel of God’s grace to all who would listen. With his wife, Candice, and their three kids, he spent nearly eight years in the tropical rain forest of the Darien Province of Panama as a church planter, translator, and consultant. Brian was involved in the Paya-Kuna Fresh Testament translation project. He studied linguistics and Bible translation principles with Fresh Tribes Mission. After their ministry in the jungle, Brian was instrumental in planting a thriving church in Fresh England (USA) and now travels full-time as a speaker and Bible teacher. He has been happily married to Candice since 1971 and boasts regularly of his three kids and eight grandchildren. The notice of God’s story is timeless; the Word of God doesn’t change. But the ways by which that story is communicated could be timely; the vessels that steward God’s Word can and could change. One of those timely ways is Bible translation. Bible translations are both a gift and a trouble. They give us the words God spoke through his servants, but words can be awful containers for revelation because they leak! The meanings of words change from one generation to the next. Meaning is influenced by culture, background, and a lot of another info. Just imagine how differently the Hebrew authors of the Old Testament saw the globe three thousand years ago from the method we see it today! Characteristics of the application The application is simple to use and allows you to listen and read the sacred scriptures quickly and easily, without the need of an internet connection. You can pause the playback of the chapter and listen to it where you left it once more and select the verse wherever you begin when reading. The audio playback performed by the application is using the Voice Synthesizer that includes the cellular device or tablet. If the device does not help this functionality, the tool will indicate it. Access to the options menu quickly and sensibly. Option to change the text size. Change of reading background of the book. Access to favorite chapters and verses. Search for words in ebooks, chapters and verses. Night mode to facilitate reading and decrease the light of the screen. Notification Everyday a verse. You can click on the screen and the lower part will present the name of the ebook and the chapter, when pressed, the list of ebooks will appear and in the another the chapters that the chosen ebook has. You can choose one or a few verses of a chapter and tag as a favorite you can also share with your mates the verses in the various social networks. By clicking on the favorite clip, you will see the verses that you marked for fast access. The Find menu will let you to put a word in a text field and find the entire bible, in the old or fresh testament. If you specify the find range it may take less time to search matches, but if you choose the whole bible it will take longer to Search the results. The configuration will let you to change the size of the letters and the reading mode (Night and day).
