bimmer-tool allows to read & clear fault codes, request DPF regeneration, read engine live data and much more in BMW cars. Try bimmer-tool lite to see whether the apk is compatible with your BMW and your OBD adapter. K+DCan cable is recommened for vehicles below model year 2008. Connection using a wireless ELM adapter in a vehicle below 2008 may not be possible or not all fuctions will be available. Important: This application requires a reliable OBD adapter. Cheap adapters will not work. You will also need USB-OTG cable. - ENET cable/Wifi Adapter: suggested for F & G series. ENET cable connections you need additionally USB-C to Ethernet adapter. - ELM327 Bluetooth: Bluetooth connection may be slower than USB. Only genuine ELM327 or PIC18-based adapters will work. It may not work with older engines. More details below. - ELM327 WiFi: Like ELM Bluetooth connection may be less stable. On some devices mobile data transmission needs to be disabled to use WiFi adapter. If you have questions or need any assist send me an email. You can search our address at the bottom of the page. Quick start 1) Connect adapter to OBD II socket 2) Turn ignition on 3) Connect adapter to your smartphone: * USB: Connect adapter to the smartphone using USB-OTG cable. Smartphone will ask which apk to begin - select bimmer-tool apk. * Bluetooth: Go to smartphone Bluetooth setting. Find for Bluetooth devices and pair the adapter with the smartphone (PIN is usually 0000 or 1234). * Wireless connection: Turn mobile data transmission off. Turn WiFi on and find for accessible WiFi networks. Connect the smartphone to the adapter's WiFi. 4) Begin the apk, go to 'Vehicle' and select model and year. 5) Go to 'Connection' and select connection kind, adapter kind and communication protocol. 6) Tap 'Connect' button. **Limitations: For mlodels below 2008 and e46/e39/e83/e53 the apk requires K+DCan cable connection and only engine ECU is supported. Connection using a wireless ELM adapter may not be possible. Common issues - Engine 'No response' error in vehicles up to 2007 and BT/Wifi adapter. If this error occurs from time to time, test choosing ATWM option under advanced connection settings. - No connection: If adapter & protocol settings are correct and apk still cannot connect to the vehicle test force stop all diagnostic apks in application manager (including bimmer-tool) or reset the smartphone and test to connect again. Why this apk requires permissions? - Storage: needed for USB adapters help - Images / Media / Files: allows to make CSV files - Pair with Bluetooth devices/access Bluetooth settings: needed for Bluetooth adapters help - Full network access: needed for WiFi adapters help - Approximate place: In theory, it is possible to search approximate place using Bluetooth, however this apk does not read/use place.

Bought an "OTG CABLE" so it connects to my smartphone my smartphone required a micro-usb (Android device) check what charger you use and bought the "BMW INPA K+DCAN USB Interface OBD2 OBDII 16 Pin Vehicle Diagnostic Program" from ebay which is compatible. My dpf is now clean. Definitely suggest less than £30 including buying this apk and saved myself whatever they

How can i resolve this error? Kris: Good apk could not be gratis. This can restart error codes and has certain live data. Saved me a fortune on my blocked dpf. The paid apk has a lot more live data with more function, force dpf regen etc. The help I got from the developers of this apk was top notch with extremely quick answer to emails. I can't suggest it enough if you have issues with your BMW receive this apk. I will be buying the full ver, no doubt.
