  Ryan Occena: I teach courses at universities using both Blackboard and Canvas, and the difference in functionality between the mobile apks is unbelievable. I can run multiple sections of an online course with full grading functionality from my smartphone with Canvas, while I have limited success sending primary course announcements from the Blackboard apk. Blackboard, catch up! Awful adjunct professors need to be able to grade on their phones, since our workspaces are often limited and may not let time or place to set up our laptops.

  Stephen Marek: Modernize for fresh ver: hey I have a good idea, instead of adding useful features like being able to post fresh content, how about we instead fix a crash that occurs only on Android device 4.4... I would give negative if possible. Since when did "updates" remove major features, such as being able to add course content? Blackboard, you're clearly beyond your useable shelf life. Either bring back Blackboard Learn or bring back the primary features you had in the prior apk, this fresh one is just garbage.

  Andrew Allshouse: Blackboard is a unbelievable system. This apk is pathetic. Is a slap in the face for every instructor that works long hours trying to assist their students. You cannot email students, email announcements, view rosters, edit grades, edit quizzes, view grades, nor do practically anything that an instructor could be able to do. I was able to create a online announcement by should not schedule one nor email it to my students. As a teacher who has fought for my school to hold using Blackboard, this apk has disappointed me severely. I can only hope that some apk developer or the corporation that runs Blackboard actually looks at these reviews and fixes list apk to create it usable for teachers.
