  Guy Mosley: Now a smart TV ver? As an amature radio operator this works good. When I hear lightning crashes I can see where they are. Would be nice to see entire map active instead of searching zones though. Would like to place this on TV with a smart TV apk or at least the ability to "cast" to the TV as my android device does with youtube and another apks.

  Will Woodgate: Like the ver on the site, this apk does a good job of displaying lightning strikes and precipitation radar. Triangulation accuracy used to be quite awful for the UK, but it has gotten better in the past couple of years. I've tried a few lightning tracker apks, and this seems to be one of the better ones.

  Steven Cotton: Blitzortung published the needed ports for the Apk to work through WiFi on a restrictive firewall promptly and courteously. They actually appologized for not publishing the info earlier and were very polite and extremely helpful once the trouble was reported. The response was that the port info could have been documented long ago and that this was an oversight error on the part of Blitzortung. Never have I encountered such a helpful and extremely proactive and helpful response! Now that I can access it from home using WiFi to reduce data usage ... thumbs up! Thanks The only another request would be to modify the apk tp first test WiFi (if connected) and if the connection cannot be created, switch to the Android device Data mode for the Android device and NOT just problem NO CONNECTION and fail.

  Willie Price: Dr. Wanke has created a good program in this. Blitzertung has had a site for years and I have been a fanatic since first discovering it. To now have an android device apk that I can have on my Kindle Fire and Asus Nexus is a champion all around. Glad to see it got the Android device treatment. Highly suggested to all...this apk has been running flawless on both devices. Granted there is a procedure to do on the Fire to receive apk's running right and even that is easily found online. Thanks for keeping it gratis!
