  A Google User: Good navigation program Ran it on an Asus Transformer. Simple and quick to plot course, zoom in or out. Accurate and a fair bit of metadata that created things easier. On a 7 day sail covering 500 miles, it was used for 85% of navigation. Highly suggested.

  tim daley: Nexus 10 . its working well Although not listed, its works wonderfully. Have used it in the Swedish archipelago of 30,000 islands , rock dodging,for weeks. It works faster than the iPad version,(basic iPad has no GPS!!) and has been the main navigation able aid. The charts are also, more detailed than another electronic charts on board. The 7in smartphone apk has the same detail!!! Highly suggested!

  Александр Никифоров: Must have for sailors I'm using Navionics HD on my pad with waterproof case every sailing trip. Inspected in Turkey, Baleares, Canares. Maps are very awesome. I really didn't use onboard chartplotters in my latest trips as a skipper. All my mates involved in sailing uses navionics. Can't wait for NavModule for android device versions, I'll buy it. And please, add MOB button. I don't think it's hard to do, but maybe you'll save somebody's life. Anchor alert and iAIS data also would be very useful options.

  Trevor Ellis: Good apk Have previously had this apk on .on an iPhone, and it looks even better on a Nexus 7. The pinch to zoom is just so much better than installed chartplotters. My only slight gripe is that on the iPhone you .can receive the 'pin' to track with the boat, so it instantly gives distance and bearing to the destination. This tracking with the boat does not seem to be accessible on this HD ver. Still a good apk though!

  jeftiii: Works like a charm The apk does what it could, and really works like a charm. There are some features missing however, like a lookup function for chart data such as buoys. This is not possible now and is in some cases very handy. If this would be updated its a 5 stars for me.

  Kevin Black: Good Apk, been using it for a couple of seasons now, but since I upgraded from Hudl 1 to Hudl 2 I have lost the tracking feature and the accuracy of the gps is terrible, flashes around all the time! Not sure if this is the smartphone or the apk? Love most of the features though!

  Phil Ayles: Very awesome but room to improve Just returned from using it on Nexus 7 in Greece. Very successful though used with caution as the boat position on the chart wasn't that accurate. Not Navionics fault -C19th charts I guess. I had previous apk on HTC Desire. Larger 7" screen makes this a chartplotter replacement - almost. It just needs a few tweaks which we will hopefully see in future releases: Info: Present heading as well as speed Track: Present distance run and average speed on request (not all the time to avoid cluttering screen) Distance program: Provide 'snap to boat' as another players recommend. Really annoying to have to move pin every time I wish an update.Funny, this was provided in the earlier ver. Can't imagine why it was changed. Route: I couldn't see how to delete a route except by undoing latest waymark repeatedly. Tidy up info display: some of the display details overlaps and is hidden e.g. distance program can be hidden by fixed details in bottom centre of screen. Also, some funny symbols instead of normal rock symbol at times. Don't receive me wrong. This is a very awesome apk, much better than competitors, and created nav very simple.

  Andrey Pereslavtsev: Must have for crusing sailors Very usefull navigation tool, which should become 95% replacement for an onboard chartplotters after two little but really important improvements similar to security. The first of them is the MOB function, wich was mentioned in previous reviews. And the second one is the Night mode (original colorscheme is too bright for night sailing even if the screen brightness is reduced to absolute minimum). Two another functions, wich should be usefull for me, are the NavModule and Anchor watch but these functions are not critical. I've also bought the Ski Europe from Navionics this spring. It was very suprising to me to search in Marine Europe all objects added to Favorites in Ski Europe after turning on the Sync my data option in both tools. I don't treat it as a bug but it would be better to know that this two various tools share one dataspace on Navionics servers. I give four stars to this five star tool due to the abcense of MOB and Night mode only, and I'll definitely "return" the fifth star after the implementation of this functions.

  Add/edit waypoints by entering coordinates I think it is not possible to add/edit waypoints with GPS coordinates in Android device ver but it is possible in Os ver. Sometimes GPS coordinates of the marks are given during races, we cannot use Navionics in this case.

  A Google User: On Samsung GT-P5100 I hesitated before downloading and installing this ap. In the end gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised the charts are very awesome, display usable and it has done what I wanted it to do. Saved me buying a chart for every harbour as all the info is on the ap. Yes admittedly it is not a comprehensive chart-plotter and really just a visual resource of where you are. It is adequate if like me you just wish that rather than all the whistles and bells of a dedicated chart plotter. It is refreshingly easy to use and I have found it quite accurate so far. Value for cash is perfect, after feeling ripped off by buying into Garmin 9 years ago only to search that charts are no longer accessible for my plotter, and even if they were would cost hundreds I am pleasantly satisfied to have just paid out £47 for the whole of the med. I am very satisfied with it.

  Paul Varel: Really nice apk but very disapointed that I cannot receive it to synch with my Raymarine C97.. It wants me to activate my sd cards and when following the in apk procedures it doesent work. It just keeps telling me to connect to the internet an :-( d then the plotter over and over..

  Andrea Boni: Android device neglected It looks like Android device is left behind on purpose - I had to wait 6 months for a ver for Nexus 7 and now we begin over with Nexus 9 (unsupported - how long this time before I can use it on my smartphone?). On the another hand IOS ver is very stable and quick (and nicer).

  Ronny H. Kavli: Image symbols and night view. Why isn't it possible to hide those pesky symbols for images? They do not belong in a navigation chart at all since they may mask true symbols and are generally distractive. In addition, they've got the same colour as stb lateral marks! Night mode is missing. The colour scheme is very awful after sundown. Sure I have a true navigational computer with cm93 maps, but what's the purpose of this apk if it doesn't have the minimum requirements for use as an electronic chart?

  A Google User: Good charts awful interface I purchased this apk prior to my sailing trip south of france, the charts are good and include some useful details, the navigation is beautiful primary. There is no details about the waypoint heading or compass heading when navigating, also tracks are dropped frequently. There is no details about distance to next wpt or eta, all of these unfo are usually included in a primary gps. The effect is that the apk is used like a traditional chart for passage planning but not so much during navigation. I would've liked to have some of those features included so as to take full advantage of the charts and the hardware capabilities.

  Carl Berner: Player interface needs work You can make routes, but not follow them and doesn't calculate ETA. You can't move a point in the middle of a route. Shows velocity over ground, but not COG. Objects are difficult to click since you have to hit the symbol on the exact right spot. Can only download 50 MB of the map at a time. Contact me and I'd be satisfied to work with your developers to create a good and player friendly application!

  A Google User: Weird This is very awful value as a marine nav program. Curious bits of sea are omitted so as to create it less than use full travelling off shore from one country to other. Odd definition of Europe excluding Britain and Denmark but including really big part of Morocco. Mainly use full for inland navigation and until completed for all Europe and the seas separating them less than use full

  Wim Vandenbossche: How hard can it be to fix this? We live aboard 6 months per year. Reliable Internet connections are few and far between. Therefore I have most of our cruising place downloaded to the smartphone. Yet I can not move these to the SD card. Why? As it is most of the disk place on my smartphone is taken up by Navionics making it barely usable for anything else. Such a shame.

  Yoram Yannay: Not reliable 1. When not connected to the Internet, the question tag next to the crosshair gives no data about the icons, only depth and contour. I do not have Internet connection when I'm sailing so there is no info for any of the icons on the downloaded maps, including critical ones. How hard is it to add these text bits to the downloaded maps so they can be viewed offline? 2. When I first used the track feature today and wanted to view my track, the apk crashes constantly. In the past hours it is useless. No apks are running in the background, I'm using the recent android device ver and the recent nanvionics ver and my device, Sony Xperia 4, is strong enough to run the apk yet it crashes even after rebooting the apk / device as advised on the assist files. 3. The maps are not zooming in or out quick enough and they are somewhat unresponsive. 4. Nanvionics help is just as unresponsive to help request. Over 24 hours and no answer but the generic automatic one. I would expect from such an expensive apk to do better. But it seems this is not the case. Very disappointed with nanvionics. Hopefully I should receive a full refund but as it looks now it's unlikely to be so

  Mapping description very misleading. The product description says you can still use your downloaded charts after the expiration date. Mine doesn't now present my charts and simply says subscription expired. They demand other £24. No thanks!

  Captain Woody: Navionics Devalued -I have five paid places of this apk. 2 of them will not begin. There is no obvious refund option. Still looking. -The apk originally gave us all the charts from the beginning and now you have to download them when you need them in little chunks. It is an unfortunate change of policy. -This apk requires it can activate your video camera at anytime. -Electronic charts are now gratis from a lot of governments, why is there no tournament for Navionics? These apks are spendy and we are satisfied to pay when we don't feel like we are being taken advantage of. -Navionics has responded to this review. They have inferred that their infinite access to our cameras is optional. That is not real (unless you are rooted). I will modernize this if/when Navionics returns the value to their apks.
