  Michael Gregory: Was awesome, now unusable. Original ver worked just ok on my HUDL. Fresh Navionics+ is a mess. Iffy to install, touch screen details doesn't work hence unable to see tidal details? Navionics have broken the golden rule "If it works don't test to fix it!". I want I should go back to the older ver. So far £45 down the tube! Michael0404. Review modernize: 1/8/14 - Navionics help took the trouble on board and fixed it in 5 days. Response was exceptional and product is now gorgeous. Now 5*

  Colin Wilson: Despite not being in the compatibility list at date of purchase, I gave it a go after the price reduction and am not disapointed. It works fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 smartphone GT-N8010 with 4.1.2 android device. Now the price has been reduced, this apk is worthy of 5 stars. It does what it says and that for me is OK. I would like to see some additions as follows. 1. The problem date of the charts. Can recent charts be downloaded each year or are we stuck with the problem when the apk was purchased? 2. A heading display would be usefull alongside the existing speed display. 3. Ability to move any of the route positions. At first I would have liked to see a night time display mode, but have since found you can invert colours in android device setup 'accessibility' then under vision set negative colours. This gives the same result as night time view on begin cpn for instance. Overall this is a awesome backup or general use chart plotter.

  Jim Brodie: I have found this apk awesome and useful but... The recent incarnation is definitely a step back. There's too much screen clutter without, apparently, the option of removing any of it. The sub-windows (speed and so on) really ought to be hide-able. UPDATE I have now learned that these windows are only show in route mode. Better, but it would be better still to have the option to hide them while navigating. There are times when all you wish to see is the chart and your vessel's position on it.

  Dick Hicks: Used on a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1. Perfect apk, used when on a two week cruise in the West of Scotland. By the end of the trip my mate was using it in preference to the expensive fitted plotter as the screen was so much clearer. Obviously not as comprehensive as the plotter but as a primary program was perfect - the charts were accurate and we didn't hit any of the hidden hard bits! A lot of the details on anchorages and harbours/marinas was out of date and innacurate but annoying rather than a trouble as my mate knew the place well. Should do with a MOB button as mentioned in another reviews. The screen is not much awesome in sunlight but this is common with tabs. Also the line you are typing when entering details is covered by the virtual keyboard which is annoying. I'll use it for a trip to Ostende and Holland later in the year, in conjunction with paper charts and my Yeoman plotter. I'm satisfied with it and have suggested it to mates as a primary chart plotter.

  S Fayers: Awesome chart plotter. Slightly worried about the drying banks off Osborne Bay that this chart plotter insists are there. I know that they do not dry at chart datum through local knowledge and printed charts. If this is wrong what else is also incorrect! I would also like to see the upgrades to this android device ver that the iPhone ver has.

  Emma Close-Brooks: Generally very satisfied with this. Has been unbelievable on both Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Has created coastal trips off the Suffolk & Essex coast and Thames Estuary considerably easier. However, would be massively improved by the Nav Module and another in-app purchases accessible in iOS ver.

  Gareth King: Good tool and works well in the cockpit using my Nexus 7. The UK HD charts cover the north coast of France and south to Ile de Glenans. Note that Navionics may make batter this sw at any time which may disable the existing ver until you pay for the fresh one. I recommend you ensure "automatic modernize" is disabled on your smartphone and take the fresh ver at your time of selecting. If you have an Android device smartphone ensure you install the HD ver.

  Peter Stewart: Perfect nav apk and best of the bunch by far imho but very massive on battery usage on my Samsung S7. Route planning is good but should do with more planning logic, ie I wish to leave at a certain time and then reflect tidal data for that timeslot or even calculate the most efficient time to leave. All the relevant data is accessible. And how about an AIS overlay? The data seems to be freely accessible on the Internet. Sharing option should be tarted up a bit, share the actual route map.

  A Google user: After sailing with it, I have to say it's beautiful awesome. The charts are perfect value and quite accurate. Other sailor complained that he couldn't edit waypoints like on the iphone ver and the gps doesn't kick in unless it has been used in other apk first. Another than that, top banana!

  A Google user: Awesome to see this Apk now accessible for the Nexus 10... However, there are problems and tidal currents are noticeably duff! On previous versions just putting the cross over the 'C' diamond would display the current... Now with this ver it does sometimes but more often it does not... A few fixes required Navionics... We await the modernize fix...soon.

  Jan Bek: I compared my ver running on a samsung tab with a mate running the ipad ver. His was significantly better on the routing function bring up boxes with the info of each leg. Come on Navionics, it can't be that hard to port application to another platforms and hold the functionality related! I bet we both paid the same for the apk.
