Broadlink RM controller are cheap controllers able to learn & retransmit IR and RF signal, making it possible to control a few home appliances with ease. However, it has never been possible to tool and customized the experience outside of their proprietary Broadlink eControl apps. Not any more! With this Tasker plugin, you can configure these RM Controller to work exactly the method you wish it, when you wish it. However since the latest modernize, I am having to receive my Amazon Echo to explore devicez every day in order to stop the Alexa devices made by the Alexa Bridge from going "offline" as far as Alexa can connect to them. No actual changes required on the apk though. Can this be fixed?

With a tiny assist from IFTTT, I am able to use the http server in this apk to control all my TV/TV equipment, projector, speakers and even the Dyson air fanatic with my broadlinks straight from the Google home devices. Hold up the good work. One tiny recommendation, would it be possible to learn individual codes straight from the Code List. At the moment I seem to have to make a macro, learn the code, then delete the macro which creates the Code in the Code list. I think it would be easier to learn all the codes first, then construct the macros later.

  • A Google user: This apk is still in beta, half of it works half of it doesn't. Discreet codes don't download, codes don't import from the broadlink plugin. Can learn some codes using this apk but certain rf codes don't register the method they do in the broadlink apk. Also contacted help for assist more than 2 days ago and still had no answer. Is it worth the cash? As it is now, no. When it works as described it absolutely will be.

  • A Google user: This is a good apk that is constantly evolving. The developer is clearly talented and offers very professional and quick help. The comments recently left by some reviewers regarding the modernize that briefly wiped the Alexa Device List are unfair. This was a very minor glitch and if people had contacted the developer they would have received a very easy solution - clear the apks data and reset it. There is also no need to have a Device List backup like some recommend, the list is in the cloud as the easy fix shows and the Alexa Device List item is there its just under the Alexa Bridge option. I say to the developer your work on this apk is greatly appreciated and I cannot wait for future updates and the extra functionality they will bring to the Broadlink device that without this apk would be nowhere as awesome. 10/10
