About the application:

The Building Blocks of Parenting (BBP) Apk provides parents with anytime/anywhere access to tactics and activities they can use with their kid to help academic and life success. The BBP Apk incorporates six places of parenting that are essential to effective family functioning. These six places of family functioning are based on the recent research on promoting positive educational and life outcomes: Finding primary needs, building a help network, strengthening your family, helping your kid learn, understanding your child’s development, supporting your kid at school. Within the apk, each building block (place of parenting) is associated with specific engagement tactics and similar parent/child activities. When a player clicks on Building Block 1, for example, three tactics display: 1) I praise my kids for their efforts so they don’t give up. 2) I teach my kids that you can learn a lot from mistakes. 3) I explain to my kids that they have to do their best, in and out of school. If the player clicks Tactic 2, “I teach my kids that you can learn a lot from mistakes,” one recommended activity is the parent telling the kid after they’ve created a mistake, “That didn’t work out the method you planned, did it? I can tell you’re disappointed, but I know you’ll test once more next week. What do you think you might do differently next time?” A special feature of the BBP Apk is the “mindset builders.” Mindset builders are self-affirmation exercises that assist parents receive into the right frame of mind to fully engage with their kid and the activity. For example, if a parent is going to do an activity with their kid to assist them learn that it’s OK to create mistakes, the parent may be asked to think of a situation when they created a mistake, what they learned from it, and what they did differently afterward. We live in a distracted globe. Mindset builders assist parents focus for a more intentional and meaningful interaction with their kid. Other necessary feature is the “My Kid” section. Under this section, parents can make a special profile for each kid and track their developmental milestones. In addition, this apk provides player with a platform to communicate with each another to ask questions, share their experience, and build a help system through the “Parent Forum.” Players can also select to keep push notifications that remind and encourage them to engage with their kids. These text messages are sent weekly through the apk to hold players (parents) engaged and recommend daily opportunities they can use to engage with their kid. One example is, “Engage your kid in sorting activities at home. You can sort laundry by color, dishes by kind, foods by color, talk about similarities and differences between objects, the possibilities are endless.”
