About the application:

942 is set in the Pacific Theater of Globe Fight II, and is loosely based on the War of Midway. The goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the Japanese air fleet; this was due to being the first Capcom mini game designed with Western markets in mind. You pilot a Lockheed P-38 Lightning dubbed the "Super Ace" and have to shoot down opponent planes; to avoid opponent fire, you can perform a roll or vertical loop. During the mini game, you may collect a series of power-ups, one of them allowing the plane to be escorted by two another smaller warriors in a Advice Tow formation. Opponents included: Kawasaki Ki-61s, Mitsubishi A6M Zeros and Kawasaki Ki-48s. The boss plane is a Nakajima G10N. For everyone who likes or used to play the C64 / ZX Spectrum / Atari / Apple II / MSX / BBC Micro / Acorn Electron mini games. This mini game brings back old times, is completely off-line playable in airplane mode and is lot's of fun. Enjoy it as much as we do!
