Carefree Connects mobile app With the fresh Carefree Connects Wireless Awning Control System from Carefree of Colorado, you are now able to fully control your awning via the Carefree Mobile apk on your favorite smart device. No longer do you have to receive up from your comfy chair to begin and close the awning or to adjust the brightness of the LED lighting. You can even control the sensitivity of your awning’s Motion Sensor for maximum safety during periods of inclement weather. Pairing with the Carefree Connects Wireless Awning Control Module Pairing the Carefree Mobile apk with your hardware is very easy. Once the Control Module and Motion Sensor (if you select this option) are installed on your awning you can now pair your smart device. Simply use the awning power switch and the extend/retract button to initiate the pairing mode and your device will detect your awning for pairing. Extension, Retraction, Stopping, & Bumping The Carefree Connects Mobile apk allows you to quickly and easily extend, retract and stop your awning in real-time. There are also buttons to slightly adjust the awning in or out to orient the awning perfectly for accessories such as LED lighting, SunBlockers or Rooms. No longer do you have to climb back into your RV to control your awning. You can do it from anywhere around your RV using your smart smartphone or tablet! Controlling your LED Lighting The Carefree Connects Mobile apk allows you full control of your solid colourful LED lighting (does not work with RGB LED lighting). In real-time you are able to turn on, turn off and adjust the brightness of your awning’s LEDs directly from your smart device. Motion Sensitivity Adjustments A key feature of the Carefree Connects Wireless Awning Control System is the optional BT Motion Sensor. This sensor is used to detect motion from wind or inclement weather and upon detection of sustained motion the sensor will trigger the awning to retract immediately. The apk will offer a warning to you that the awning motion sensor was triggered and that your awning retracted to protect it from these conditions. In the settings section of the Carefree Connects Mobile apk, you will see a slider that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor. Range is 1 - 5 with 1 being the least sensitive (would require more sustained motion to close) and 5 being the most sensitive (would require less sustained motion to close). This allows you to better optimize the motion sensor for each campsite you visit along with the everyday conditions so the awning will for sure close when it needs to and will remain begin during periods of lighter wind or rain where it can still remain begin safely. Advanced Settings When the BT Motion sensor is enabled and active the apk will detect the motion sensor and display the connected module’s info in a table in the settings of the Carefree Connects Mobile apk. If for any reason your sensor is lost or the battery is dead, the apk will send a notification that the motion sensor is not found or connected. The settings tab will also present you if the ignition lock is enabled/disabled and what ver of the apk and firmware are installed.

Randy Joseph: I've had nothing but issues trying to use this apk with my awning on a Lance truck camper. There is a wind sensor which has never worked for the latest year properly and trying to pair it with the remote FOB is not simple printing it does not remember.

Wayne Hilterbrand: I installed this apk, and after I tried to pair it multiple times it un-paired my motion sensor and my key fob remote. Fortunately I have an iPad and that paired easily, and I was able to fix the problem. Unfortunately it took multiple long keep time calls to the company, and a ton of trial and error to figure it out. The Android device apk beautiful much sucks, and I would avoid it. It cost.me a bunch of hours of troubleshooting .

Andrew Pitts: Using Galaxy S10 with updated BT12 firmware. Once apk is paired with BT12 it works, but if the apk is exited and then restarted, it does not reconnect to BT12, even after pressing the icon to reconnect. It requires a whole fresh pairing operation. Also, apk shows S10, keyfob, and motion sensor as paired, but only shows the S10 as connected, even though the awning operates with the keyfob. Thus, the apk is only useful for one time ops, such as adjusting the angle of rollout of the awning drum.

schultzgang 1: Horrible apk, but you have to figure out the work arounds. I only required it to adjust the wind sensor setting, then forgot about it. On my Android device, I required to "force stop" the apk for a clean slate (like after an awning auto-retract), but do not remove the awning from the apk otherwise it drops the peripherals. If you do, then remove batteries from the peripherals to reinitiate and repair the apk. There is no master restart so this seems to be best method to use this apk.
