About the application:

CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The apk will tutorial players through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving their sleep environments. It provides a structured tool that teaches tactics proven to improve sleep and assist alleviate symptoms of insomnia. CBT-i Coach is intended to augment face-to-face care with a healthcare professional. It can be used on its own, but it is not intended to replace therapy for those who need it. CBT-i Coach is based on the therapy manual, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Veterans, by Rachel Manber, Ph.D., Leah Friedman, Ph.D., Colleen Carney, Ph.D., Jack Edinger, Ph.D., Dana Epstein, Ph.D., Patricia Haynes, Ph.D., Wilfred Pigeon, Ph.D. and Allison Siebern, Ph.D. CBT-i has been shown to be efficacious for insomnia for both Veterans and civilians. CBT-i Coach was a collaborative effort between VA’s National Center for PTSD, Stanford School of Medicine, and DoD’s National Center for Telehealth and Technology.

  • Kristen Parisi: My sleep doctor asked me to download this to assist improve my sleep hygiene to war insomnia, and it works if you stick with it! This is my favorite CBTi apk so far. The player interface isn't as nice or player friendly as I'd prefer, but the features and resources are more necessary to me than the appearance. I like that I can view all of the info of every sleep diary entry I've ever input, and review them in detail with my physician to continue to improve.

  • Lilly Barnett: I love this apk. It makes calculating your sleep score simple, since the latest thing I wish to do in the morning is math. My only problem is that they only give you increments of 10 mins for time awake, but for a gratis apk, this thing is good.

  • Charles Carte: I love this apk, my only complaint is that the graph that tracks falling asleep is gets the numbers confused even if I logged them correctly and double checked my times were correct. It screws the graph up but then another times it works just ok. Otherwise it is a good apk for people with insomnia.

  • A Google user: I've used this apk through my CBT-i treatment at the VA, and it has been a good addition to the therapy. Being able to hold track of the sleep efficiency score on a everyday basis has allowed me to tweak my sleep pattern accordingly. Even with my formal therapy over, I'm still using the application everyday. I was not a fanatic of the paper forms they had me filling out everyday and weekly, and this application replaces all of them. I'd like to see improvements in the usability of the application, as well as being able to send the data to the therapist (yes, I know.. HIPPA is a pain). Even if you aren't in the VA, but wish to test CBT-i for your insomnia, I'd highly suggest it. The apk has a short learning curve with it, but after a short time you could be tracking your sleep patterns easily enough.

  • Rogue Kitty: Good for tracking sleep time. It would be nice if it allowed you to save incomplete sleep tracking diary entries so that you should track naps and time in bed when they're event rather than doing it all when you wake up and should have forgotten that details. Please add this ability. Someone commented on the apk being unable to calculate accurate sleep times, that has not been my experience with it. It just does not contain naps in calculations bc it's to regulate nighttime sleeping.

  • A Google user: This is not so much of a review, as a request for assist... I have this apk installed on my smartphone and have been using it for a couple of years now. My doctor would like to see the full results for the past few years of using this to test and determine some things; but on the smartphone I can only pull up the past 2 weeks or so. How, online, can I gain the full record for medical purposes, please? Hopefully you have my e-mail from my installation, and/or my cell smartphone - with which I can keep text notice as well, if that is easier for you.

  • A Google user: Need to have better method to export data to doctors. Need to create sure all doctors are aware of how to use this application. Also application need to be blocked out in a week by week basis in case of a break or holiday. This application also needs a "thoughts log". Apk was handy, especially for the handicapped.

I never receive reminded ro take an assessment or any another alarms. Would also love 24 hour clock. Everyday I am told I slept a negative amount. Please add a 24 hour clock option.

  • Julie Costet: It is a awesome apk for sleep tracking but not if you have sleep anxiety. Seeing the progression or regression of your sleep place you in an "achieving" mindset. Also the warning notice if you slept under 5.5 hours is TERRIBLE if you have sleep anxiety. On the another hand it is well created, no glitches, awesome advices and relaxation techniques.

  • Christopher-Titus Mark Vanderwall-Brown: Given the Department of Veterans Affairs is a Government Agency applicable to public domain laws, I search it disappointing that the VA chose to develop this tool as a closed source platform rather than an begin source model. Begin source provides extra safety protections and would further increase the amount of people who would be interested in and possibly able to use this application. While I understand that some content may be copywritten, there are still means to implement OS models.

  • A Google user: They need to add the date when you fell asleep and the date you wake up I have chronic sleep problems there's times I sleep for 3 hours or 14 hours a day and it seems to be confused saying I slept negative hours in the apk.
