About the application:

An Official US Navy mobile application, produced by the Navy PMW 240 Program. The CENSECFOR Toolbox application provides US Navy personnel and others with on-demand access to certain Center for Safety Forces (CENSECFOR) training courses. The apk also contains info that prospective students will need prior to reporting to one of CENSECFOR’s 13 learning websites. The apk is essentially a toolbox that helps players establish and build a sound foundation of weapons security along with an understanding of classroom instruction offered by CENSECFOR. CENSECFOR programs are relevant to all Navy applicants, current Sailors, transitioning Sailors, Veterans, and others who want to learn more about secure weapons handling. Although the apk is geared toward both military and civilian players, it will assist Navy personnel complete the needed course PQS 43466-D Safety Force Weapons Fundamentals. The apk also provides info on another needed and suggested prerequisites, gear lists and contacts for another CENSECFOR courses. This first ver of the CENSECFOR Toolbox apk hosts two courses: (1) Private Firearms Security and Rules and (2) M9 Service Pistol Operator Training. In the future, the apk will be expanded to contain courses on the M4 Rifle, the M500 shotgun and another weapons, as well as antiterrorism training and similar courses. The CENSECFOR Toolbox apk is divided into the following sections for ease of use: Training Courses: • M9 Service Pistol Operator Training. This course currently makes up the bulk of the apk. It provides refresher training that enables students to safely and efficiently maintain and operate this weapon. The course includes an introduction, 3 modules (Security, Operation, Maintenance), and a post-test. • Private Firearms Security and Rules. This course focuses on common firearm security rules, secure handling procedures, characteristics, nomenclature, cycle of operation, common malfunctions and stoppages, proper care and maintenance, and the legal responsibilities of owning a firearm. There are knowledge checks but no tests. Learning Website and Course Info: • The apk also contains sections detailing course prerequisites and places, Emergency resources, a Feedback mechanism, and a Favorites section, which allows players to bookmark and easily access parts of the apk they search personally necessary. After launching the apk, players choose the desired course of instruction. Once this is selected, CENSECFOR displays training content identical to training offered via Navy eLearning. If needed, this apk will even let Sailors to submit successful course completion documentation to their Electronic Training Jackets (ETJ).
