Bruno Maeda: Really awesome, but should be a tiny bit stronger. So far it's the best and the strongest go apk i've found for android device, but yet it would be nice if it were at least 1-2k stronger. And it makes some strange moves on yose scene (most of the times, it's simple to catch 15 points).

Isaac Johnson: Awesome method to play go.

A Google User: Powerful and quick The strongest AI I have ever played with quick speed. Every mone is reasonable. It might reach dan level on my Nexus7 at level 10. I am impressed.

Melinda Green: Very powerful! I had been using Go Droid which uses the GNU Go engine, and was beginning to beat it with some regularity. Then I switched to Winner Go which created me feel like a complete beginner once more! Today I beat it with a 4 stone handicap and no undo's. It will be a long time before I can beat it without a handicap, and that's a awesome thing. I like the default tap-zoom interface. As others have mentioned, the rest of the UI is a tiny clunky and unpolished. Also, I would love for saved mini game records to be public on the device so that I can copy them when I like. It supports an option to email a mini game, so there is at least one method to receive them. The place view button is helpful, but the back button could take it down. The Options dialog respects the back button, so the "Back" button there is unneeded. The bouncing animation used for most dialogs is really annoying. Please at least give an option to turn that off. Removing the Options back button will provide enough place for that. I like the idea of an atari warning, but as implemented it is distracting and not helpful. Better would be to use a colourful overlay on all ataried stones or perhaps a little yellow triangle. Overall, good apk!!

Sam Starobin: Beautiful awesome Perfect engine that will receive you close to 1 Dan. Subscription is pointless right now because every computer move takes 20seconds

A Google User: Powerful at 9x9 go, but weaker on the larger boards. The ai is still beautiful awesome. I'm 5 Dan amateur, and it occaisonally beats me on even at 9x9.

Kenneth Duda: Very powerful Go engine This is a good tool. I can victory maybe one in four mini games on 13x13, and I play better than 5 kyu (I hit 1d at one point on kgs). It is probably kgs 1d strength. Good for intermediate users. The UI should be improved but who plays computer go for the UI? You play go for go, and this implementation's got it.

Brian Babiak: Good I have the desktop ver too. Android device play is 1-2 kyu Interface very functional.

A Google User: Perfect Engine, Decent Interface Based on the CrazyStone engine (solid 5 Dan rating on KGS server) this apk plays a awesome mini game of Go. The interface should do with a tiny polish, but it does the job and doesn't receive in the method.

A Google User: Works on the Optimus LG! Good interface, unbelievable ai. Well worth it!

Tochi Chiang: It was awesome but the better one is accessible. Even the gratis lite ver of its successor is stronger than this dated apk. Find for 'Crazy Stone Deep Learning' instead. === Previous review === It's actually a downsized ver of one of the best two computer go tools. The another one is Zen but it doesn't have mobile apk accessible. So this apk, Crazy Stone, has the strongest AI among mobile device apks without doubt.

Ajion Alëshintsev: Good, just good! Love this apk, if you are in the ranges of 3k+ receive this. I only play on max settings when i play GO. This AI can give you some challenge, and with handicap ohh boy. He does take some time to think, but considering you see both timers, when u think on the move 2 minute, he thinks like 1:30, type of makes sense, when the board gets extremely complicated. I suggest this apk for any GO user. I took away the star for the monthly subscription to receive the Best AI performance :( UI is actually awesome, i don;t know what ppl are complaining about, maybe old versions. Cheers and hold on Baduking ;)

Mitch Richling: Best AI in the shop.

Matthew Matlock: Powerful Go for Android device Powerful AI (2k?), awful smartphone UI, but thats not really a trouble.

A Google User: nice go partner AI plays beautiful solid. Usually. It feels like AI knows Go well. It wars back if need, wisely uses influence, solves life and death issues. Though from time to time AI plays sudden tenuki. The more complicated situation is, the more frequently it happens. It looks like AI has not enough time to estimate the position so it prefers tenuki. It feels a bit awkward when AI suddenly lefts semiai it won already and just gives up its stones. The another thing is AI often plays very awful yose. It can play moves like 25k or worse. Or it can give you lots of its place for gratis at the very end of the mini game. Surprise! Considering the rest of the mini game it plays just ok. Taking 3 stones handicap it beat me twice or thrice. The funny thing is I usually beat GNUGo 3.8 giving it 6 handi. And yeah, the Winner Go at Iconia Tab A500 was totally overplayed by gnugo 3.8 at core i3. So I can't tell its rank.

A Google User: Strongest AI in andriod Very powerful AI at lightest tool level. Board 9x9 about KGS 3dan ,13x13 KGS 1dan , 19x19 KGS 2k. Only one awful thing is the high level tool is taking so much time per move. Although, this is the best go tool in android device
User rated this game 4/5 on 2012-09-29
A Google User: Please add move to sd Love it but please provide a move to sd option. I would give 5 stars
User rated this game 4/5 on 2012-04-31
A Google User: Best go AI accessible on android device shop As with most go ai's, gets weaker on larger boards, but the strongest setting on 9x9 is definitely ~3-4 dan. Also to answer to other review here, it actually has an absurdly powerful endgame. The reason it plays odd moves at the very end is actually a consequence of this. It's powerful enough to know if its winning or losing, so it will either play solidifying moves... making the lead "safer". Or it will create overplays, trying to claw its method back in.

Arlen Winther: Powerful This go tool is powerful and the apk has a lot of options, but it is missing some key features. I would like an option to automatically save my mini games to the apk, the letters along the top could be on the bottom and read left to right and the numbers could go up chronologically, the apk could have higher resolution, add more time options (customisable), strength options would preferably be traditional. Besides that, awesome apk.

A Google User: Fairly Powerful on Asus Transformer On 19x19 board this apk is surprisingly powerful even on just my dual-core Asus Transformer tf101 (it plays as a 6 dan on KGS using a multicore cluster). I estimate its strength at level 10 on a 19x19 board to be KGS 2-5 kyu. However, it does create some strange reading mistakes that a human being at that level would not likely create. I imagine that giving the computer more time to think might fix this trouble. Note re. "wmshub" review: You have to explicitly save a mini game in progress using the "stored mini games" menu option. I accept that the navigation of the UI should use a bit of polish, but it's nothing catastrophic.

A Google User: Beautiful decent apk. Could.do with playing faster on harder settings
User rated this game 4/5 on 2012-05-05
TanukiTensai: Perfect Powerful engine but makes strange plays in the opening sometimes. Also, what was the recent modernize? No mention if it was bug fixes or the long awaited landscape mode which it was not....clue us in on what we are downloading ffs.
User rated this game 3/5 on 2015-04-03
Scott Markhus: Mixed WOULD IT KILL YOU TO ADD A "PLAY AGAIN" BUTTON? Seriously, having to navigate through a few menus every time you begin a fresh mini game is amateur hour. Another than that, it's OK.
User rated this game 3/5 on 2016-03-17
Roman Soyka: Powerful but instable Very nice and powerful but crashes method too often during a play or when you touch a place button
User rated this game 3/5 on 2013-01-14
A Google User: Not awful... This bot is awesome with a 24-core computer (like the one on KGS), but on my Galaxy tab 10.1, it's a lot weaker...
User rated this game 3/5 on 2011-10-09
Drew Heath: Badly needs HD / Smartphone UI Powerful fundamental Go tool, but UI is only suitable for phones. No landscape orientation, lo-res skin... looks beautiful gnarly on my NotePRO 12.2. Provide an HD skin with panorama option and you're five star.
User rated this game 3/5 on 2014-04-12
A Google User: This is the strongest go playing tool on Android device, and at the same time the worst Go apk ever written for Android device, using a screen resolution and a menu navigation style that hadn't been seen since the 80s.
User rated this game 2/5 on 2016-09-18
A Google User: Awesome playing engine. Not a awesome Android device UI. This is the best go enemy I've found for Android device. But the UI is beautiful awful; the back button is ignored. The menu button is ignored. All text zooms up and becomes painfully grainy on a smartphone. The AI passes instead of resigns when it knows it is losing. I can't figure out how to disagree over living and dead stones at the end of the mini game. To top it off, if you close the apk and come back later, it forgets the mini game so you can't begin a mini game then finish the next day. If the UI gets cleaned up and it learns to properly save a mini game, this will go to 4 or 5 stars.
