  Simon Dircks: This really could be built into phones these days. it's clear that it is intentionally not included so that your battery dies after 2 years and you purchase a fresh smartphone. This apk is the only one like it that I have found. It seems clear they are actively trying to fix bugs, despite the smartphone developers attempting to block them. The apk has frozen a few times when unplugging my smartphone and I have had to reset. Google pixel 4 xl

  Derfomiundz Ivy: Good tiny device, so for the most part works perfect, tiny learning curve overtime to learn how your device works with it. Love it, the best alternative aside from rooting a device to have related results. If you have any problems contact them, they are very responsive and assist getting any problems with the apk or device receive fixed. Awful reviews without info and justified statements don't assist anyone, contacting them helps you and everyone receive a better experience.

We've a pair for our two phones and the only caveat we offer is that if you have more than one, it is best to separate them by 10 or 12 feet so the phones don't receive confused over which one to connect to. Once we did that absolutely no issues. Well worth the price!

  Robert Kingsley: Topping off a lithium battery to 100% shortens the life of the battery, there is no disagreement on this among experts.. Likewise, keeping it topped off at 100% for a few hours, such as overnight charging, shortens battery life even more. Wirecutter thinks that the hassle of monitoring the charge of your phone's battery isn't worth the savings in battery life. If your phone's battery can't be replaced, like mine, then you wish every latest min of life you can squeeze out of it. Chargie does that without the hassle. Chargie is a hardware/software solution to limiting the amount you charge your battery. Load the tool apk into your smartphone and order the hardware device according to the instructions that come with the apk.. Plug the USB plug of the Chargie hardware device (purchased separately) into your charger, and plug your charging cord into the USB receptacle on the Chargie device. Plug the another end of the cord into your smartphone and you are all set. The apk talks to the device via Bluetooth. You must pair your smartphone to the Chargie device (very easy) and tell the apk to remember the device. You must also tell your Android device smartphone not to shut down the Chargie apk during power saving periods, also quite easy. Full instructions are given. After that, just charge your smartphone normally - plug it in at night and stick it in your pocket or purse in the morning. Chargie will limit the battery charge to whatever you set (I use 85%). In the morning your battery will be at a tiny less than the charge you set. No hassle. Some people have complained that Chargie keeps turning off. That is because they have not instructed Android device to hold Chargie running during power saving times. If you don't do this you will have to manually reset Chargie every time you use it. If you have a few phones, nooks, etc., you will probably wish to have a Chargie for each device. If so, be sure to have each Chargie apk remember only one of the Bluetooth Chargie devices or they may receive confused if a few are running at the same time. This is a good solution to extending battery life without hassle. Five stars for sure.

  Stephen Brabbs: The concept of both the hardware and the tool is a good idea. There appears to be some little issues/bugs in the tool but this has largely been overcome by the manufacturer. I have purchased others as bonuses for close mates and family. I highly suggest Chargie to all.

  David Bayliss: Very busy - but suddenly occurred to me I must express how satisfied I am. I bought 8 of these devices (some for purposes they're not targeted at). I use 2 for my S10+ for wireless charging - one next to the bed and one in my main work place at home. The Apk isn't quite mature yet but it does work. For using two devices like this I manually connect to each one (one at night, one during the day). Would be good if one should create groups for a particular smartphone that auto switch. I have mine set to 80% with a 10% hysteresis (so down to 70% before charging up to 80%). Occasionally it seems to ignore than 10% difference - so not excellent but most of the time ok. My partner has one set up for night time on her S10 - works ok. I did set our phones to not optimise the Apks for power saving etc. of course. I also tried using one on my old Note 4 that I just as an Android device device on WiFi now, and while it seemed to work when I looked at it, I did sometimes search it in the morning at 100% so I'm not sure why, but it doesn't always seem to maintain that connection. The apk isn't quite there cosmetically yet - e.g. long names for devices don't automatically scale well. And it would be nice if there was a cloud element that wouldn't stop the apk working if it didn't exist, but optionally should save/register device names so that you should the same Chargie simply and easily identify it for use with multiple phones etc. But over-all, for our expensive phones with expensive-to-replace batteries it works for me and my partner and I'm very satisfied. If you have only one device it's set and forget, and if you're an anxious person like me who thinks about the threat posed by the 30+ lipo batteries I have in the house (I'm a techie lol) then the Chargie represents a slight alleviation of some of that anxiety in a convenient method.

  Miles Forrest: Regularly updated. Does what it says. Met the founder Ovidiu at a science fair in Excel London. He knows his items and we bought two Chargies. Now I've just got 3 more arrived today in the post from Romania. One for work, home office, children etc. I use it like I use my Tesla, charge to 80 or 90 most of the time which is ok on a Samsung S10. Only charge to 100 if I'm doing a long day out. I haven't found any another product /apk out there which does this.
