This is the pro key for the gratis apks ChessOcr http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kgroth.chessocr and ChessOcrPict http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kgroth.chessocrpict It removes the restrictions of the gratis ver of both these two apks which is the limit of 25 saved positions (there is no limit on the display of recognized positions in both demos). When this apk is installed, the apk name in the activity bar of the gratis ChessOcr changes to ChessOcr Pro Ver, and similarly for ChessOcrPict. PLEASE TRY THE FREE VERSION OF THESE TWO APPS (CHESSOCR OR CHESSOCRPICT) TO SEE IF THEY WORK TO YOUR SATISFACTION ON FIGURES IN YOUR BOOKS BEFORE BUYING THIS PRO KEY. YOU NEED TO HAVE BOTH APPLICATIONS INSTALLED, THE FREE VERSION AND THIS PRO KEY. YOU STILL USE THE FREE VERSION, BUT IT BECOMES THE PRO VERSION WHEN THIS PAID APP IS INSTALLED. Rick B: A good program for chess lovers. You can scan chess diagrams from ebooks or magazines, save them as pgn files (standard mini game file format), and then analyze them with a chess engine. Ashani Ray: I found that it is consistently not recognising a few positions. For example from positional chess handbook (Israel gelfer) page 18 diagram 36 (awesome knight versus awful Bishop chapter) it is recognising the black knight as black lord and skipping the original lord). I rescanned a lot of times but same effect. Overall, apk is very useful.

Randy Merrell: Shortly after I bought this key it went awful. I can't receive a decent scan no matter how I test. Thankfully I found "Chess: scan, play, analyze". It works even when things aren't excellent. Even when Chess OCR worked it was difficult and everything had to be just right. Thanks for your efforts Mr. Roth but you've been passed up.
