Up means itās active and upside down means itās muted. Using the app: You will also see a Large Ben icon on the main screen of the apk. The direction of the icon indicates the same as the widget. Taping āExitā will receive you out of the apk but the apk will hold chiming if you have the Large Ben pointing upward. Tapping āSettingsā will receive you to the āSettingā screen. Tapping āSilent Periodsā will receive you to the āSilent Periodsā screen. The āSettingsā screen has a volume slider and light bulbs that toggle between on an off. To hear the current apk volume, tap the speaker icon next to the slider. This screen includes these settings: Speak The Time: If itās on, it apk speaks the time on the quarters. Big Ben Chimes: If itās on you will hear the Large Ben Chimes on the quarters. Short Tone: It itās on, you will hear a short tone on the quarters. Quarter After: If itās on, the apk chimes at 15 mins after the hour. Half Past: If itās on, the apk chimes at 30 mins after the hour. Quarter Before: If itās on, the apk chimes at 45 mins after the hour. Quarter After: If itās on, the apk chimes at on the hour. Ok to chime even if media is playing: It itās on, the apk chimes even if you are watching a film. Tapping āMain Menuā takes you back to the apk home screen. The āSilent Periodsā screen allows you to set silent periods and schedule when those periods are active. Up to 5 silent periods can be set from this screen. Tapping āMain Menuā from this screen takes you back to the apk home screen. As guide example, we are going to set an overnight silent period between 21:30 and 04:30 in the morning. 1. Tap āSilent Periodsā from the apk home screen. The āSilent Periodsā screen is displayed. 2. On line number 1, tap the numbers under the āStartingā column. A time picker is displayed. 3. On the outer ring of numbers, tap the ā21ā for the hours. The time picker will be ready for you to pick the minutes. 4. Tap 30 for the mins, then tap āOKā. The time picker will disappear and you will see your selected time on line 1 āStartingā. 5. Using steps 2 through 4 as a tutorial pick 04:30 for the āEndingā time. Since you entered an ending time less than the starting time, the apk knows you chosen an overnight silent period. A screen with the days of the week is displayed with light bulbs that you can tap to turn off. When the bulb if off the apk ignores the silent period set on the days you have turned off. Thatās it. A L: i like apk i downloaded gratis then i purchased apk. but , 2 problems , 1 it still plays threw smartphone calls, i set volume on apk but each time i listen to melody and adjust volume on smartphone for melody and forget to readjust volume the chime cant be heard so its connected to smartphone volume not its owen volume i use to have chime time love it until it no longer works about 5 to 6 yrs i had it never turn it off able to hear it at all times ,modernize ,still plays threw phoncall, shut off by itself when melody py
