Chord! is your next chords and scales apk for guitar or any fretted instrument like bass, ukulele, banjo, etc. Unlike another chord charts apk, the apk doesn't rely on a database of charts. Instead, it computes and analyses all the possible fingerings. You don't even have to know melody theory to use it: behind its brute force, the apk knows how to handle by itself some subtleties of melody in order to give meaningful results. If you don't have to be an advanced user to use the apk, you can however take a look under the hood and tweak the parameters if you like! Whatever is your level or your instrument, Chord! will adapt and give you the most precise answer. You can find for any chord, split (like D/F#) or not. If you're a beginner, you can select the chord from a list, but you can also use the clever keyboard to enter the chord as it is written. If this keyboard is a good method to enter chords, it is also very useful to explore and understand how the chords are formed. You can also enter some notes on a neck to search which chords it can be. You can hear how each fingering sounds. Chord arpeggios are also supported, as well as drop voicings (drop 2, drop3, etc.). Chords are not all and the apk is also shipped with the largest list of named scales (and you can make your own scales). It analyses and presents them with nice interactive views (scale, score and keyboard). Of course it can also lay down these scales on a neck (with sound) and compute their fingerings. Like for chords, you can even find for a scale from its fingering! Each scale can be harmonized (decomposed into chords). You can also enter a sequence of chords to search which scale you can use to improvise onto. You can use one of the hundred tunings shipped with the apk, or you can add you own ones, for any instrument, with or without a capo, even with broken strings if you want! The apk uses custom and special algorithms to generate charts, easily input complex harmonic structures, extract chords from fingerings, determine fingers positions, compute keys of scales, generate chords from scales and search scales that go well with some chords. For example, Chord! is the right program in these situations: • You're a beginner and you wish to know how to play easily a D/F# chord; • One gave you an ukulele and you wish to know how to tune it and how to play the G Hawaiian scale; • You wish to know on what scale you can improvise for some chord sequence (and the reply can be various than the Pentatonic minor!); • You wish to experiment this nice begin tuning, moreover with a bottleneck; • Your tiny sister can't create bar chords and you wish to present her how she can do without bars, with three (tiny) fingers only; • You wish to impress your tiny sister by showing her how you can play the same chords with two bars! • You wish to understand how this fingering for C13 is actually a fingering for C13; • You broke a string and wish to know how to play some chords without; • You wish to know how Django managed to play with two and a half fingers. The apk fully help left-handed instruments.

The movable frame/box over the fretboard for scales is good. Works on lots of stringed instruments. I'd like to see a feature where I can view random chords for practice time. Select easy/med/hard and just step from chord to chord.

A Google User: Perfect Without tournament!!! The best apk for finding and learning fresh scales and chords I have found yet. The gratis ver doesnt do it justice. the paid one has so much more. I instantly uninstalled all another gratis apks, the harmonizer is perfect too, If your playing starts to feel like your stuck in a learning loop just look up a few fresh chords and associated scales and your soon off in a fresh creative direction. I'm sure someone knows of other awesome apk but this one is by far my favourite.

The chords and the scales in this apk is very useful, learning could be a breeze when its this available Good apk, i suggest it. ++++++++++ Modernize: v3.2 Surprising got better! The chords are now easier to search; chords that they teach beginners to use and they don't feel generated. Everything else works well-- can't vouch for the tuner though, i haven't used it since have my own. But highly suggest it, it can be strong in the right hands.
