FAQ: So what exactly is Clear Note Widget? Is it an apk or a widget? - Both! Clear Note Widget's main feature lets you put transparent notes that blend in with your home screen, but it also functions beautiful well as a standard note apk (opening it through the shortcut). Regular (aka non-widget) notes can also be password-protected/encrypted. How do I add a widget to my home screen? - You'll first need to tap the Apk Drawer icon. This could bring up a list of your apks with two tabs near the top of the screen: Apks and Widgets. Tap the widgets tab, and scroll over to the right (swipe left) until you receive to the Clear Note Widgets. From there, just tap on your desired size (you can always resize later*), keep, and you'll be able to drop the widget on any of your home screens. How do I resize a widget? - While on a home screen, press and keep a Clear Note Widget for about 1-2 seconds, then allow go. You could see a box around your note widget with some blue "handles" at the corners. Drag the handles either towards or away from the widget, depending on whether you'd like the widget to be smaller or larger. *I can't seem to resize my widget to a smaller size. What's the deal? - You might be running Android device 3.1 or 3.2. Android device 3.1 introduced widget resizing but only above a minimum width and height. So a 2x2 widget should be resized anywhere between 2x2 and 4x4, but never smaller than 2x2. This was fixed in Android device 4.0+, but aside from upgrading to Ice Cream Sandwich, the only solution is to add a 1x1 widget to the home screen (which will allow you resize to any larger size and back). How do I make a regular note? - Regular notes (the non-sticky type) can be made directly from the Clear Note Widget apk. Just run Clear Note Widget from your Apk Drawer or the shortcut icon, and press the "Make a Fresh Note" button! I don't like having to change my background color, text colors or font sizes every time. Assist! - No trouble! You can set up your default options (editor font size, background, text colors, font sizes) by tapping on the Settings icon (the one with the two circles) while editing a note or the notes list screen. There's a slight difference between the two: the widget note Settings menu lets you set your current widget options as the default, while the notes list Settings menu lets you choose the actual default options! Ryan Glenn: Exactly what I was looking for. Fits my smartphone theme perfectly being transparent. Only one minor problem. Colors and sizes on widgets restart to original default after resize. I need to begin and save the note to fix once more. This is despite the defaults being changed to my preference already. Not a large problem worth a star reduction. But worth mentioning. Thanks for a good apk! The best part is NO bogus permissions. None period for that matter.

A Google user: I use this alongside Easy Calendar and Minimal Reader, and it meshes with the look beautifully. I shopped for an hour and couldn't search anything which should match it. I also have fun the encryption option for if I have to save company data on my smartphone, but it comes down the good look that is a unbelievable search for people looking for a smooth interface.

A Google user: I was looking for a easy sticky note app/widget to place different reminder notes on my home screen, one without a lot of fuss and bother or "weird permissions," and Clear Note is exactly what I wanted. I really have fun the transparency of the colourful backgrounds, although some of the colors aren't truly as described--e.g. "light yellow" is anything but that color. Not docking a star for this, but hopeful that the dev will expand the apk to let for more accurate colors. Definitely worth the price as it stands. Runs beautifully on my smartphone, and the notes are highly visible even with 8 pt. font.

A Google user: I have been very satisfied with the simplicity of this apk and the fact that I can encrypt some notes, apart from a trouble I had with an encryped note being lost due to a bug in the system. However, after contacting the developer with my trouble, I was very impressed with the very prompt response and he immediately worked on a fix for this. Well done. Lesson learnt for me, though, is that it is a awesome idea to save anything necessary to other place, as things can sometimes go wrong.
