Top rated party game! Ideal for 2-10 players Amusing word-based board game Highly engaging mini game, requires tactic and language skills :) Codenames is an simple party mini game to solve puzzles. Each mini game lasts between 7-25 mins depending on the size of the initial board. The mini game is divided into two squads red and blue. Each side has a spymaster, whose goal is to lead their squad to the final win. It is possible to play either in one squad mode, so you will decide only the red squad spymaster and the mini game will autoplay the blue squad or in two squads mode, in this case you will need to select a squad spymaster for the blue and the red teams. At the beginning of the mini game, there will be either 12, 18, 24, 30, 36 or 42 cards (depending on your selection) on the board with various words. The top bar indicates which squad starts the game. Each card has belongs either to the red squad, the blue squad, it is a neutral card or the black card. Only the squad spymaster can see the color of the cards (Secret Code) when pressing the Present Secret Code button position on the bottom left part of the screen. The squad spymaster could allow his squad members search out the cards of their corresponding colors by giving a tip (word) which relates a set of cards belonging to its squad. For example: Suppose - Snake + Mouse + Eagle - belong to the red squad. When it is the red squad turn, the spymaster can give the following tip: - Animal, 3 - then the member of the squad can choose up to 3 cards in order to guess the cards belonging to its squad. If they choose a card which does not belong to the red squad then the turn is switched. *The hint's word can be selected freely, as long as it is not (and does not include, nor is contained in) any of the words on the code name cards still showing at that time.
