  Miss G: Best feature: Definitions are followed by examples of the word as used in sentences and phrases, including unique expressions or idioms. Regional differences are clearly marked, as well as slang or offensive uses. Audio pronounciation is clear. Each time I look up a word I learn much more than just an English equivalent. The examples give a sense of the living language.

  Myk Dowling: Notifications are bizarrely disconnected from the actual word of the day. Today's word of the day notification said the word of the day was "feather", but on opening the apk, the actual word of the day is "lodacero", meaning sink-hole.

  Ray Cisco: This apk (the bonus ver) is beautiful darn awesome. Not as complete as the unabridged hard-copy ver, of course, but still very usable as a fast resource. As a Spanish professor, Collins has long been my choice as a bilingual Spanish-English dictionary. It is based in part on the perfect monolingual "Diccionario de uso del español" by María Moliner, which is highly authoritative and impeccably accurate in terms of actual language usage, as its title implies.

  Chris Walmsley: Underwhelmed, for an apk costing the same as an actual dictionary I am disappointed that the word definitions are so terse and do not usually include examples of usage. Verb lookup is unusably slow. Also word of the day on the notification is various from what actually comes up.

  Dana: PROS: Perfect content from Collins, on a par with Oxford. CONS: No “share” integration to choose and look up words from another apks. Find functionality is very limited; there’s no full text, example or idiom find. The additional content on grammar, pronunciation, abbreviations, etc. isn't included (a lot of dictionary apks do contain this). Favorites don't sync across devices. There's no setting for defaulting to Spanish or English find. This seems to change depending on use, but a setting would be better. Word of the day behavior has improved slightly, but it is still confusing and not customizable. The interface has a busy, adware-like appearance. On the home screen of a paid apk I don't wish to see "Invite Mates" and "Rate Apk," as if these were features for my benefit. The nagging “rate 5 stars” popup is especially annoying. I much prefer the WordWeb dictionary interface for which currently only the Chambers dictionaries appear to be accessible.
