CombatCOVID is the Official COVID-19 notification and info apk of the County Government of Palm Beach County, Florida, a diverse community of over a million and a half people. Unlike another apks, CombatCOVID has never used GPS or place notification in its architecture. The apk user’s privacy and identity are protected. No names, emails addresses, places or personally identifying info is needed. There is never any place or identity info acquired by CombatCOVID. The CombatCOVID apk uses Bluetooth signals to determine if you are near other player. All players who have been in close proximity to a COVID-19 positive person will be notified by a push notification recommending they receive inspected immediately, without revealing anyone’s private identity. Recommended places for testing are also provided. Your device’s smartphone number is encrypted and never shared with anyone, including local health officials. All data and Info about the device being in close proximity with other device is ONLY stored on the device. Access to the data indicating the device’s player may have inspected positive is only shared IF/WHEN the player chooses to share it. IF the player does select to share a COVID-19 positive effect, they are still totally PRIVACY PROTECTED.
