The application “Comenia Script: Meadow Letters” is a mini game for the littlest writers. In an entertaining method it acquaints kids with a fresh form of handwriting using Comenia Script. At the same time, it supports freeing the hand (graphomotor skills) by means of tracing a letter (each letter of the alphabet) on the whole surface of your smartphone or smartphone. That makes it suitable for kids before they begin practising writing Comenia Script in grade first grade, but even for preschoolers. “Comenia Script: Meadow Letters” is an application that can be used also by kids who do not write with Comenia Script, or by adults who want to learn this easy and easily readable form of handwriting. The application can be used for work in school, at home, or while travelling. Players, grown up and little, will also welcome the choice of strokes for right-handers and left-handers. Comenia Script was inspected by the Czech Ministry of Education in a two-year trial project from 2010 to 2012, and has been approved as an alternative for use in Czech elementary schools. The National Institute of Adult Education (Národní ústav dalšího vzdělávání) has already trained more than 1,400 teachers in the use of this fresh handwriting at their schools. At the beginning of the application you will search a table for the selection of symbols, on which the large letters of the alphabet are blue, the tiny ones green, and numbers are pink. The application is accompanied by sounds produced when making the right strokes and also when making mistakes. After being written, the letter is compared with the model. Then comes a symbol from the ‘Comenia Pictures’ pictorial alphabet, which helps kids to remember the particular letter.
