About the application:

Thank you for volunteering to rescue us in our hour of crisis. The Head Ranger is waiting, with your car, at HQ. There is a lot of work to do be done to save the species, so you better receive started quickly! You’ll need to run projects to help the local communities living around the reserve so that they can assist you protect wildlife. And you’ll need to hire vets and rangers to hold your wildlife secure and healthy, and to restore habitat to assist your animals thrive. Funding is always tight, so you could also build tourist lodges to increase your income for your conservation work. Beware the poachers roaming the place, led by a figure calling himself ‘The Colonel’. The poachers pose a constant threat to your wildlife and will test to pay disillusioned communities to hunt wildlife for the illegal wildlife trade. They have setup a checkpoint to test to extract bribes and there is no sign they will be leaving anytime soon, so how you deal with them is up to you. Relief is on its method but will not arrive for some time, so the decisions you create will determine the success of your reserve; the survival of the species is in your hands. Awesome luck! CONSERVATION CRISIS Conservation Crisis is a fresh mini game where you must race versus time to restore and rebuild a wildlife reserve and save an endangered species from extinction. In the mini game, you are given a budget of $100,000 of Donor Funding per round, which you must select how to spend on some the projects below. WILDLIFE WARRIORS Hire vets and rangers to hold your wildlife secure from poaching and illness. Rangers stop poachers hunting your wildlife and provide the security required for more wildlife in your reserve. Vets stop illness and assist your wildlife to breed. COMMUNITY CONSERVATION Work with communities to receive them to assist you protect wildlife. Build wildlife fences to stop wildlife destroying crops and eating livestock. Run livelihood programmes to war poverty and turn former poachers into protectors. Build a school to teach the value of conservation and inspire kids to become future vets and rangers. SENSATIONAL SAFARIS Build tourist lodges to receive visitors coming to your reserve. Those visitors will give you the revenue you need to build more projects, hire more staff, and save your wildlife species. Backpacker tourism is low risk, but low reward. The luxury shop offers large rewards, but also has large risks. WONDERFUL WILDLIFE Dig watering holes to restore the habitat in your reserve and assist your wildlife to flourish; the more holes that you dig, the more your wildlife population will grow each round. Run breeding programmes to rescue your species from the threat of extinction and restore wildlife populations back to full health. EMERGENCY FUNDS Make sure that you hold some cash aside in your Crisis Fund to answer to emergencies within the mini game. If you lose funding, you’ll have to create up the loss from your Crisis Fund, and if the poachers cause issues you’ll need additional funds to fix your projects and pay staff to hold them at their posts.
