  Robert Rotariu: I required to move the SMS messages (maybe one or two MMS messages; under 10 anyway) from my Lumia 950 to my fresh Nokia 7 Plus. I tried the gratis ver and it said my texts include some Windows-specific heroes (or something like that) that can only be processed by the pro ver. I bought the pro ver, I launched it and started the restore process. The validation step went at an acceptable speed and the restauration process reached about 40-45% in under 20 mins (not sure because I was not paying attention). But the rest of the 55-60% of the process took 6 hours give or take a few mins. It seems to have completed successfully, I cannot tell for sure. What I can tell for sure is that there were a lot of messages. Not sure exactly how a lot of, because the apk wouldn't say, but I can remember from when I backed them up on Lumia 950 glancing at a number between 34000-35000 (yes, thirty-four thousand). UPDATE: 26210 (twenty-six thousand) So, I don't know if this was the expected time or not, but it is what it is: almost 35000 SMSes in 6 and a half hours. UPDATE: 26210 (twenty-six thousand) I would recommend showing the number of messages before starting the restore and after, and also showing an estimate of how much time it would take IF AND ONLY IF THIS IS POSSIBLE. I am completely aware this might not be possible to do accurately, if at all. Overall, to me this apk was worth every cent, so thank you! UPDATE: I counted the messages in the backup. It's 26210 messages. The another number was from a previous notice backup, when I moved from Lumia 720 to Lumia 950.

  Dennis Adonis: Worked like a charm - managed to complete the whole process of transferring my SMS and MMS from my Windows smartphone to my fresh Android device in less than 30 mins, including the time it took me to read the instructions, d/l the 2 apks (1 for each smartphone) and complete the end to end notice transfer. Thanks for creating this cheap, simple to use apk, complete with good detailed step by step instructions. Highly suggested!

  Denise Grider: Perfect SMS conversion apk! I finally decided to replace my Windows smartphone, and after doing much research, I determined this apk would be the best method to bring over my SMS and MMS data. The instructions were simple to follow and everything was converted with no problems. One trouble I ran into was that my Alcatel smartphone was not running the official Android device messaging apk and the apk crashed, the author of this apk sent me the link to the correct apk which works perfectly.

  A Google user: Import SMS from Windows Smartphone PRO is *the* apk to use for importing SMS and MMS messages from your Windows smartphone. The instructions included in the apk are simple to follow, and the apk performs the import as advertised. Good job! Advice: If you wish to transfer the exported notice files using OneDrive, use 8zip to pack the smsBackup and mmsBackup directories into a zip file first. Download the zip file from OneDrive to your Android device phone's Download folder and extract there. (I used ES File Explorer Pro.) Import SMS from Windows Smartphone PRO automatically found the appropriate files with no effort on my part.

  Jazmin Portis: Life Saver. Took two tries but zero complaints. First SMS transfer attempt failed around 12% and had that been it, this still would be a 5-star apk since as far as I can tell there are basically 2 methods to transfer texts in from WP, this being the easiest and best and the another requiring comp sci knowledge. So even that failed attempt had me giddy as my messaging apk was no longer like 10 lonely texts. Given that no transferred texts were a serious chance, 12% is better than 0% every time. Second attempt was flawless, counted up to 100% without problem and the old texts started coming in. MMS transfer is still a work in progress for me, as it stalled on the WP side in the contact and messaging apk about 80% of the method in and isn't creating a file for me to transfer what it grabbed in part. This is apparently a common occurrence and being it's a Lumia Icon, can't use SD card to work around this. Hopefully a future modernize from Microsoft will fix this and I'll recover those messages in time. But either method, couldn't be more satisfied with this apk. Create sure you receive the paid ver even if you only do an SMS transfer to help the developer who provided this important bridge for us to transition to Android device.

  Richard Klemme: Worked well in the end. Also the developer was _extremely_ helpful in trying to assist resolve the different problems I was having and developed other program to work with different another backup formats (XML) that I didn't need in the end. With latest builds of the Windows Smartphone "contacts+message backup" utility from the Microsoft Shop that is run from Settings > Extras, it crashed so he suggested using the "Transfer my Data" apk also from the Microsoft Shop and choose "..." and "export to sd card". Note that some builds of Windows Smartphone 10 may not have this export to sd card feature anymore (Lumia 640XL), however luckily I has a second one which was slightly older (Lumia 735) that did. All of the SMS's transferred (8000+) and most of the MMS (there was a couple of problems with some .pud files) but overall an perfect effect. Note - I used this utility to transfer to an iPhone 6 - by using an Android device Samsung Galaxy S5 and an interim step along with the "Move to iOS" apk there. After doing lots of research this was the only method to achieve this.

  Jon S: Works very well. Transferred data from a BLU Windows 8.1 smartphone by using the backup messages apk on the BLU to the removable sd card. Place the SD card in the fresh Android device, downloaded this apk and ran it. It found the microsoft format backup very quickly by scanning the smartphone (no having to specify where the baclup was located which I think is a very feature). It then proceeded to import the data into the Android device smartphone. That was quite a slow process but it worked. Perfect apk - worth every penny.

  John Bosso: This apk works perfectly but that isn't the best reason to use it. I had problems with my backup files and when I emailed the developer, he emailed back right away with instructions to fix my trouble and it worked perfectly. Even after that, he kept in touch. I am very satisfied and I think you will be too. Best $2 I ever spent, it could cost more when I think about what it is worth to me to save all of my text messages.

  Juan Luna: This apk is unbelievable! It easily handled converting thousands of text messages from Windows Smartphone to Android device. The developer was also extraordinarily helpful in answering all of my questions before I started moving my text messages to Android device. The apk quickly found the backup of the Windows Smartphone text messages and converted them for Android device with no problem whatsoever.   Alexandru Gib: Woow.. this apk is exactly what I was looking for. It did the job flawlessly. Easy, straight forward player interface !!! I've tried a few another apks before this one but they didn't receive job done( SMS limit, MMS was not supported, difficult player interface and loooots of advertisements ). My only regret is that I didn't found this apk earlier and I spent at least 3 hours trying to create another apks work. Best $2 ever spent :D

Once the files were set up in correct format and both phones connected to PC, the transfer of messages was fast and seamless.
