  A Google User: Even w/losing some features, it's still the best The State Mileage Logs feature is not accessible in this fresh ver. POI alerts are not what they were, you either receive them all or none, I like to have rest places and weight stations pop up at 10 miles out. now you receive just a tiny icon that you can't hardly message. But all the tiny things aside... this is still THE BEST Truck GPS accessible 3/20/15 Modernize 30 months later I receive a answer to my original review written on 9/6/12. FIRST....State mileage reports are now generated by miles logged with GPS, not by route generated... therefore if you don't have CoPilot running you can't receive the miles for the trip per state. Second.... the POI alerts are still not what they used to be. Selectable POI's as in Rest places and Weigh Stations only are my prefered (as in older versions). Now you only have the options to choose TRUCK SERVICES CATEGORY, not the individual services. With the "timely" response to this review I am a bit disappointed with ALK . Although their application is still the best on the shop, it saddens me that they don't pay more attention to their reviews.

The live traffic along with the bar is the greatest asset for knowing what is event ahead. I love the traffic bar....

  A Google User: Good Product I have been using this apk since 2012. It has followed me across a few phones and even tablets. I love being able to save the maps to my sd card, and being able to cherry pick which maps I wish downloaded. Well worth the price. Only thing to remember is that it is not flawless, so still be diligent in making sure the routes are truck legal.

  Anthony Pruitt: I left what I wrote latest when I reviewed this apk. I gave it 5 stars then. It WAS a Good tool. The latest modernize has castrated it to no better than a TomTom running on a smartphone or smartphone is the only thing it still has going for it. You can no longer set you own average speeds by street kind. I drive a 65mph truck etc given for a 90% interstate run are method to fast. Etc for 90% secondary streets are why to long. No longer let drag and drop route editing. Also the 3 options for route are nowhere near awesome 8 out of 10 times. If you have active traffic enabled and the is a street closed with a temporary street for a detour that adds nothing to the route there is no option to allow you not use the apks reroute which in the case of hey 2 in Minnesota right now is a 30 to 40 mile detour and adds almost an hour to the email that is not required as there is a temporary street running 1 block over. Don't spend your cash on this unless you really need to have a truck routing gps on you smartphone or smartphone. Give use our usability back. Stop dumbing the apk down. Truck drivers can generally route better than a computer anyway! I had given only 3 stars because the POI find along route would only return about the next 30 miles. ALK saw my review and asked what I ment and now have improved the POI find along route to the best I have ever seen. Not only does it now truly give POIs for the entire route but if you are wanting to stop in say 5 hours you can restrict the find to roughly just 5 hours or so thus reducing find time and returning results faster. $150 versus $700 or $800 for stand alone gps. Good Buy!

  A Google User: Good alternative This product is definately worth the money...its cheaper than a stand alone unit and works good on my motor Xoom.....and it calculates routes quick too thanks to the large processor.......yeah the maps were a bit large to download..but worth the wait.... because my tab is wireless connection only and can't run Google maps in the middle of no where with out a data connection...

  Jonathon Mcvey: Best truck GPS there is. Hands down better than any truck GPS on the shop, including the 500$ + rand McNally. Make batter in proves night time functionality and font size. Both are a move in the right direction. I run on a Samsung smartphone, making this the best navigation program accessible, that is except for the awesome old fashion trucker atlas that will never be replaced.

  Gen Mn: Dash PC Miler. I have the PC Miler stand alone. I love it. I have the 7" screen. I rather have updated maps for it. But latest modernize was 2010. I don't really like using my smartphone for a GPS. But, PC Miler has never place me at an overpass that was to short or a no truck route.

  Eric Brogen: Copilot came thru Thx Thomas I can use it once more. If your having problems, follow the help link below your comment, it took a couple of weeks, but Thomas from copilot help helped me receive up and running once more. This beats Garmin and Rand McNally(haven't tried their fresh smartphone) hands down. Thank you once more. Been using this truck navigation since 2013 and don't even wish other.

My recommendations though are as follows: - User-selectable font size for the player interface and maps; - Speed limits reintroduced for Canadian maps; - Give us an option to be able to selectively select what type of tolls we can use. For example, money tolls, toll streets with mandatory transponders (eg: The 407 in Ontario requires by law a transponder for cars over 5 tonnes), EZ Pass accepted streets, etc... - Be able to add put shortcuts on our home screens so we can have a one-touch solution; - Create it voice-activated so we can use it completely hands gratis.

  I've been using Copilot for years. Before the apk I used it on my laptop. Still the best truck GPS. I've never trusted any GPS completely, and only use it as one part of trip planning. Things I like: The traffic bar is very accurate, low clearances and turn restrictions on map, simple to use once you receive used to it, and I can use it on my smartphone or smartphone. The best thing is you don't have to be online to use it. Only for traffic. I'd like to see some minor improvements like switching between toll and non toll streets on the main screen and easier menu navigation. It's created my job easier for a long time.
