If you're involved with Christmas or Breeding Bird Counts, the boundaries of your count circle are always of interest, and sometimes unclear. Count Circle contains the complete National Audubon database of CBCs (updated as of December 2018), with a total of 2883 various count circles in 93 various states, provinces and places including Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, and Antarctica. Lookup and display any count circle on an interactive map, and search out exactly what is (and is not) included in the circle. You can even display multiple circles at the same time, including, with just one click, all of the circles in a particular state or country. Count Circle also displays your current place, so you can determine precisely if you are inside or outside the count circle as you are doing your count. You can also use Count Circle just to view the various circles, to assist you decide which ones you might like to participate in. If you have reason to trust the database is in error, or if you are a count organizer and wish to experiment with repositioning the circle for better coverage of key places, Count Circle lets you set the center of the circle, then modernize the database, and even, if you select to do so, report the revision directly to National Audubon. You can also make and save your own circles, and, combined with the ability to display multiple existing circles, this provides the excellent method to position a potential fresh circle so that it doesn't overlap existing circles. You can even select the radius (in miles or kilometers) if you wish to use something another than the "standard" 7.5 mile radius used for the CBC. A good addition for "patch challenges"! A Google user: Tool updated 1/4/2015, this apk now works flawlessly with android device 5.0 (and I assume all earlier versions). Using your phones GPS, you can see your position relative to the CBC count circle, projected onto a detailed map (hybrid satellite/street view option accessible). This apk removes ambiguity similar to your whereabouts within a count circle and provides an extra program to discover access and birding places within the circle.

Tim Hahn: Does what it's supposed to. CBC circles are generally communicated via old, outdated maps, so it's good to have this cheap and simple to use resource that allows birders to constantly know where they are in relation to the CBC border.

A Google user: Up until recently, this apk has been good. You can look at any CBC circle, you can zoom in while you are running a count to look for fresh places to discover or to create sure you are still within the boundaries. Unfortunately, the apk is now crashing whenever I test to begin it. Others are apparently having the same problem. If the apk creators can receive it working once more, it is worth the purchase, but for now, don't bother.

A Google user: The apk does exactly what it says, territories you in relation to your count circle with Google imagery to tutorial you. However, any time I back out of the apk (to enter data onto eBird, for example), it zooms back out to the full extent and switches from satellite view back to the primary base map. It also does not track along with you as you move through the circle in a zoomed in mode. Additionally, it would be good to be able to drop pins and denote places of interest. It would also be nice to draw lines that denote places, as most compilers split the circle into squads with assigned parts of the circle.

A Google user: Found out about thus apk from other birder and got it today. It will not begin. I tried a few times, restarted and powered off my LG smartphone. Visited the developers site and didnt search any details there to assist diagnose why it wouldn't begin. Uninstaaled for refund. Scott Myerle Beach, SC

A Google user: Buyer beware. I installed this apk on November 27th. It crashes before it ever starts. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same effect. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I contacted the developer and, because it was a holiday, I gave him over the weekend to answer. When I didn't receive a answer, I contacted Google Play, only to search out that there was a 48 hour window to request a refund. I attempted to contact the developer once more today but still no luck.
