About the application:

This Morse code CW learning Android device apk is RX only at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 WPM and focuses on listening to Morse code rather than visually learning dots and dashes. You may also use an external USB or Bluetooth keyboard to use for input. Keypad interface: Android plays a hero in Morse code and your task is to tap or kind the matching hero using the app's Default or QWERTY keypad or external USB or Bluetooth keyboard. Once you have learned a hero with 90% proficiency, a fresh hero is introduced. You will soon have a really big pool of heroes from which Android device will select, weighted toward those heroes learned with a lower proficiency and those with least exposure before choosing randomly from the pool. Tap and keep the Repeat/Resume button in the lower left to adjust keypad font size from 16pt to 24pt. Each keypad can have a various font size. Copy Pad interface: While using the Copy Pad, you are able to keep a string of Morse code heroes at different speeds and write in the whitespace with your finger or stylus, or enter the string via external USB or Bluetooth keyboard. After the string is presented, the apk pauses briefly so that you may self-check your accuracy since the Copy Pad does not attempt to recognize your handwriting. If using an external keyboard, then the apk will compare what you have entered to the given string. Correct heroes are shown in black and heroes missed are shown in red. The whitespace is then automatically cleared and a fresh string of heroes is played. You may change the word length from 1 to 10 heroes, and you are able to change to a comfortable WPM. There are two methods to change WPM: 1) From the Home Screen, select the desired RX speed, then select the hero set. 2) From the Copy Pad, select the desired RX speed. Return to the keypad by pressing Hide Copy Pad. You can freely move among 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 WPM. Within the apk, different elements answer to certain gestures: 1) Tap the really big Hero button near top center to show/hide the presented hero. Tap and keep to bring up Statistics showing your Hits, Misses, and Correct percent. 2) Tap and keep any little hero keypad button and that hero will be played in Morse code at the current WPM without registering a hit or a miss. 3) While learning Prosigns or Abbreviations, tap on the definition text to show/hide the meaning of the CW prosign or abbreviation. 4) To restart your statistics for a particular hero set, on the Home Screen tap and keep the desired hero set and you will be asked to confirm the action. 5) Tap and keep the Repeat/Resume button in the lower left to adjust keypad font size from 16pt to 24pt.
