  Michael Timmerman: Tried other apk with a higher player rating and was disappointed. This one actually responds to changes in sound level. I am not sure if it is calibrated but i played a 1kHz tone through my stereo and if I raised the volume 3db (My receiver volume is shown in db) this apk showed a 3db raise in volume. So I am confident that when I can compare to an actual sound level meter and receive it calibrated, it will be very accurate.

  Nicholas Agnoli: I love this easy apk. I added a few pay features. They are cheap and worth it. This is very handy for looking at changes in motor performance and for detecting background noise levels that should endanger your hearing on a construction website. Must have for store and construction workers (and engineers).

  Enoch Yang: Doesn't measure Subs This decibel meeter only detects A Waves, not C Waves (C Wave is both the lower spectrum and higher spectrum of sound whereas A Wave is just the treble region). It's awesome for measuring sound in a talking environment, but not for actual melody. If you are using subwoofers and wish an accurate representation for decibel range, add about 10-15 additional decibels once you reach 75db. Beautiful much, if you can feel the hairs on your legs shaking from the sub, you're running over 90db, which is risky
