The Dexcom G5® Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System is the first device that lets you treat without pricking your finger.* Use this apk if you have the Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System. Medicare beneficiaries could not use this apk. The beneficiary may NOT use their smartphone for display of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) data and still be eligible for reimbursement by Medicare for Therapeutic CGM.The Dexcom G5® Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System provides real-time glucose readings for patients with kind 1 or kind 2 diabetes every five mins. With Dexcom G5 Mobile, dynamic glucose data can be accessed and shared safely and conveniently anywhere, anytime to your compatible smart device. * CGM-based treatment requires fingersticks for calibration; may effect in hypoglycemia if calibration not performed or symptoms/expectations do not match CGM readings. The Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System provides personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. For example, you can set the schedule to match your work hours and have various alert settings during the rest of the day. Custom alert sounds are accessible, including a Vibrate-Only option on the smartphone for glucose alerts another than the Urgent Low Alarm.The Always Sound setting allows you to keep certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your smartphone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will let you to silence calls or texts but still keep CGM Alerts, including Low and High Glucose alert, Urgent Low Alarm, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts. Always Sound is on by default. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For security, three alerts cannot be silenced: Urgent Low Alarm, Transmitter Failure, and Sensor Failure.In addition to the exceptional performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll keep another valuable features: • Intuitive and user-friendly interface • Dexcom SHARE® remote monitoring is built into the G5 apk, allowing you to share your glucose data with up to five followers, who can remotely monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow apk. Sara Foote: I love this apk! Unlike some of the reviews I have read, it is working flawlessly with my Galaxy S7. It doesn't drain my battery excessively, I don't lose signal any more frequently than I did with the receiver, the Bluetooth is working consistently up to 30ft and I haven't had any problem with the alerts/alarms. There are of course some tiny changes that would be nice but I think that is real of any apk. Functionality is good and I think it was worth the wait! Thanks Dexcom 😊

Mary Ann Correll: Good apk.! Now I don't have to carry G5 reciever ..I always have my smartphone with me anyhow, so it Simplifies my life. I Have 7s edge . The battery life is good, with no drain. Bluetooth SO powerful works while I'm sleeping upstairs.. (No where near my smartphone) alarms are LOUD. (But they could be) My transmitter is only 1 month old. So I have good signal, when transmitter battery starts getting weak my G5 reciever used to have Bluetooth problems. So Maybe that would explain why some people have complained about Bluetooth failures with there smartphone and apk.. have noticed that randomly my ringtones and notifications don't chime. Found just restarting the smartphone fixed that trouble. I've Been waitnig a year for this apk. and I am SOOO HAPPY !!!! Thank you Dexcom!

Chet King: Simple to install. Be sure you have the transmitter barcode label ready as you need to take image to connect. Also you have to log into your acc when prompted so have that details. Install, log in and take image and you are done. Took 5 mins.

Joe McKinney: Another than the alerts problem (yes, goes off at very inconvenient times - meetings, church, plane, etc), I had a recommendation. This maybe somewhat controversial but I was thinking it might be very helpful to let your place as an option to be shared to your followers in an urgent low alert. My father and I both have dexcom and both have had diabetes for 35+ years. He is getting older and still very active. I just worry about him being out on his own and becoming incapacitated by a low blood sugar episode. Granted, the dexcom has been a complete blessing for our family and has kept the highs and lows much more manageable. Thank you!

Rama Mohr: I really love this apk, been waiting for an Android device ver for months. Method more options on it than my receiver has. Want there was an emergency low or high text that should be sent out though when I'm in problem. Be sure to check that your smartphone is supported. At the moment only a few of the newest Androids are listed as this apk was just released; I'm sure there will be more added later.

My suggestion would be to add a feature that would let you to enter what meal is being taken and that method there is a history of how the meal affects the blood sugar.

Hartesia Kercado: It's good... another than it draining my battery! I can change all of the settings, except for Urgent Lows, to vibrate. Because it sounds like an emergency broadcast if the sound is on! And I still don't know how to transfer the data from my smartphone, to my Dexcom Clarity acct... so technically, I've still been using my receiver, for the data. And any assist with this would be quite useful! :D

I've used the apk since the first day it came out, true satisfied with it on my Samsung S7 edge. I thought battery life would be affected more, I usually have 50% at the end of the day. Seldom ever loose BT signal. I like the alarms better than the dex receiver, nice and loud if I wish then to be.
