Hill’s DIGESTIVE INDEX is a gratis phone web apk for veterinarians to quickly and easily score the severity of the signs of chronic enteropathy (CE) / inflammatory bowel illness (IBD) by completing one of two published scoring systems – the chronic inflammatory bowel illness activity index (CIBDAI) or the canine chronic enteropathy clinical activity index (CCECAI). The total score ‘dashboard’ is a very simple method for you as clinician to present the severity of the trouble to the owner. By reassessing the score after treatment, it also provides you an objective visual aid to present improvement (or deterioration) of the situation to the pet parent. This apk is not designed for the diagnosis of CE or IBD, only as an aid in its management. Proper diagnosis and patient management are always the responsibility of the attending veterinary surgeon.
