  Kyle Frederick: A easy, attractive apk that does the job really well. I have a NAS full of MP4 films and wanted a method to stream them to a Chromecast. I simply turned on the NAS' DLNA setting. I installed this apk and upon running it for the first time it immediately found my NAS. From there I told it to always use my folder full of films as the default film folder, and BAM! It loads all the films in a superb library that is quicker than Netflix. I choose the film I wish, choose the "Play to..." button, choose whatever Chromecast I wish or I can choose my smartphone (aka "Local User"), and it starts playing that chosen film in less than 5 seconds. When I skip to other point in the film it takes less than 2 seconds. It's super easy which means my whole family can use it. I tried all the another apks (Plex and 9 another media casting apks) and none were this easy or this beautiful.

  Thijs: Unfortunately it won't use.srt subtitles. And maybe don't display the content of a folder unless you select to click it, makes it type of hard to search the right videos on my nas. Another than that it looks solid.

  R Hare: A very promising apk but I have a few quibbles: - The organizing features are ok for little libraries, but for those of us with over a thousand films, we need a folder view as well, preferably as the first tab (at least as an option). I have ~700 westerns and scrolling through them in the genre category is too much - it needs to be broken down in alphabetical sections like my folder structure. - Even better would be custom tabs linked to specific folders. - The genre page is too dense and the labels don't stand out enough - A landscape view is sorely required for tablets. - Maybe a bug but anything in the "video files" tab cannot be manually looked up even though the header says "Search on TMDB". - There needs to be a default Play To option, preferably with a button higher up on the details panel. I only play on one TV and it's pointless to have to select each time. - I don't have the full ver yet, but what if you accidently refresh the Films tab with over a thousand films? It's simple to accidently refresh when you're scrolling up. I will hold track of future updates and hope to see some of my problems resolved.
